Résumé : Les études de phylogénie moléculaire sur les Lépidoptères Rhopalocères et Zygènes sont de plus en plus nombreuses ces dernières années modifiant la systématique et la taxinomie de ces deux groupes. Une mise à jour complète est réalisée dans ce travail. Un cadre décisionnel a été élaboré pour les niveaux spécifiques et infra-spécifique avec une approche intégrative de la taxinomie. Ce cadre intégre notamment un aspect biogéographique en tenant compte des zones-refuges potentielles pour les espèces au cours du dernier maximum glaciaire. Cette démarche permet d’avoir une approche homogène pour le classement des taxa aux niveaux spécifiques et infra-spécifiques. Les conséquences pour l’acquisition des données dans le cadre d’un inventaire national sont développées. Summary : Studies on molecular phylogenies of Butterflies and Burnets have been increasingly frequent in the recent years, changing the systematics and taxonomy of these two groups. A full update has been performed in this work. -

INTRODUCTION The genus Boloria Moore, 1900, although apparently embracing few species, presents enormous taxonomic problems as being represented by a number of mostly allopatric taxa confined to different mountain systems, which exhibit a great 1 geographical variation accompanied with a considerable individual variability. In his classical work, Warren (1944) has divided all the diversity of the genus into three species, the main diagnostic features being the ratio of the toothed apical part (head) of the harpe to the total harpe length, being 0.30-0.4 (with the mean 0.33) in B. graeca (Staudinger, 1870), 0.33-0.50 (with the mean of 0.40) in B. pales ([Denis et Schiffermüller], 1775) s. l., and 0.47-0.63 (with the mean of 0.50) in B. -

Charaxes jasius (Linnaeus, 1767) es el único representante europeo de un extenso género de mariposas (unas 250 especies) de amplia distribución tropical (Aduse-Poku et al., 2009). Su distribución abarca el norte de África y las regiones mediterráneas costeras del sur de Europa hasta Grecia. En la Península Ibérica se encuentra general- mente en zonas con presencia de madroño (Arbutus unedo), planta nutricia de la oruga, principalmente en la orla costera atlántica y medi- terránea, aunque también en áreas del interior central y nororiental peninsular, alcanzando incluso Madrid. Hasta ahora no había sido citada de la provincia de Cuenca (García-Barros et al., 2004). Alcanza hasta los 800 m.s.n.m en terrenos montañosos y húmedos, como en el Prepirineo aragonés (Murria-Beltrán et al., 2008) aunque algunos individuos han sido capturados a más de 1200 m.s.n.m, posiblemente divagantes que ascienden a cotas más altas de manera temporal (Montagud & García-Alamá, 2010). -
Endemic Macrolepidoptera Subspecies in the Natural History Museum Collections from Sibiu (Romania)

The paper presents data regarding endemic Macrolepidoptera subspecies preserved in the Entomological Collections of Natural History Museum from Sibiu. 22 endemic subspecies are recorded and represented by 382 specimens in the Entomological Collection. Most of the specimens have been collected from mountain habitats, especially from Southern and Western Carpathians. The results of this paper contribute to the improvement of the existing data concerning the distribution and outline the areas of Macrolepidoptera’s endemism in Romania. Résumé. Le document présente des données concernant les sous-espèces endémiques des Macrolépidoptères conservées dans les collections entomologiques du Musée d’Histoire Naturelle de Sibiu. 22 sous-espèces endémiques sont enregistrées et représentées par 382 spécimens dans la collection entomologique. La plupart des spécimens ont été recueillis dans les habitats de montagne, en particulier du Sud et l’Ouest des Carpates. Les résultats de cette étude contribuent à compléter les données existantes concernant la distribution et de définir les zones d’endémisme des Macrolépidoptères en Roumanie. INTRODUCTION In this paper, the authors wish to present the endemic taxa from the Natural History Museum from Sibiu. The term endemic is used for taxa that are unique to a geographic location. Arenales 1256, Apartado 14-0434, Lima-14, Peru 3Laboratory of Genetics, Department of Biology, University of Turku, 20014 Turku, Finland Received 24 February 2009; accepted for publication 1 September 2009 We have inferred the most comprehensive phylogenetic hypothesis to date of butterflies in the tribe Satyrini. In order to obtain a hypothesis of relationships, we used maximum parsimony and model-based methods with 4435 bp of DNA sequences from mitochondrial and nuclear genes for 179 taxa (130 genera and eight out-groups). We estimated dates of origin and diversification for major clades, and performed a biogeographic analysis using a dispersal–vicariance framework, in order to infer a scenario of the biogeographical history of the group. We found long-branch taxa that affected the accuracy of all three methods. Moreover, different methods produced incongruent phylogenies. We found that Satyrini appeared around 42 Mya in either the Neotropical or the Eastern Palaearctic, Oriental, and/or Indo-Australian regions, and underwent a quick radiation between 32 and 24 Mya, during which time most of its component subtribes originated. Several factors might have been important for the diversification of Satyrini: the ability to feed on grasses; early habitat shift into open, non-forest habitats; and geographic bridges, which permitted dispersal over marine barriers, enabling the geographic expansions of ancestors to new environ- ments that provided opportunities for geographic differentiation, and diversification.
