HEALTH SAFETY PROTOCOLS COMPLIENCE

Our accommodation complies with the current health protocols and is certified for operation under Covid-19 conditions by the Greek Ministry of Tourism:

MANAGEMENT PLAN PROCEDURES

If a guest feels unwell during their stay with symptoms of Covid-19, the following actions will apply:

• The guest should immediately contact the above person in charge to advice on what to do next. It is strongly suggested that the guest and their co-guests stay in the room with the room door closed.

• To a guest who has symptoms of a respiratory infection (cough, sneezing, runny nose), a simple surgical mask and tissues are provided immediately.

• If the guest is accompanied by another person, who wishes to stay close to them for caring purposes (e.g. a spouse), they should be also provided with simple surgical mask and be advised to wash their hands each time they come to contact with his hands every time he comes in contact with secretions

• of the suspected case (e.g. saliva etc.) and in any case before the attendant touches their face, eat or drink.

• The co-operating medical care service of the accommodation is called by the person in charge to evaluate the incident. The co-operating medical case service contact details are:

• If the guest has a mild clinical picture, a sample for laboratory confirmation of COVID-19 is obtained by the physician. The guest with a mild clinical picture remains in their room until the results of the laboratory test are announced.

• During the above wait, the entry in the room of the suspected case by the accommodation staff is avoided if there is no significant reason. If required, a member of the staff is suggested to deal exclusively with the guest to reduce the number of staff members exposure to an infectious agent.

• If the guest though presents a severe clinical picture and has an urgent need for hospitalization, they are referred to the relevant health unit as a suspected case of COVID-19.

• In the last case, the hotel health officer communicates IMMEDIATELY with EODY (National Organization of Public Health) on the phone at +30 210 5212054 or the special four-digit number 1135 (24 hours a day), for declaration of the suspected case and instructions.

• If confirmed as a case of COVID-19, the guest is transferred to the special quarantine hotel and later to a health facility that will accommodate patients with COVID-19, if hospitalization is required. The patient is transported with M.P.P. (simple surgical mask) and private means of transport.

• If the guest is confirmed not to be a case of COVID-19, they are treated at the hotel with the instructions of the treating physician.

• The contact details of a guest’s emergency contact (e.g. immediate relative) are recorded during check-in in case consent is required for operations where the patient cannot contact.

CLEANING & DISINFECTION OF SUSPECTED CASE ROOM

The accommodation Implements special cleaning instructions in case of a suspected case according to the respective directives of EODY:

• Good surface cleaning of often touched objects, such as doorknobs, toilet surfaces, etc., especially if the surfaces are soiled with organic liquids.

• Fabric surfaces (e.g. curtains) should be cleaned with a steam device (at a temperature 70o C / 158o F or above).

• The cleaning staff uses high-protection personal protective equipment such as a surgical mask, goggles, disposable gloves, and waterproof disposable robe. During work, the cleaning staff should not touch their mouth, nose, or eyes nor smoke, eat or drink.

• The protective equipment used (simple surgical mask, gloves) by the staff member will be discarded in a bucket and in no case reused.

• After disposing of protective equipment, hands are to be thoroughly washed with soap and water. It is emphasized that the use of gloves does not replace hand washing, which is a very important means of prevention.

The accommodation ensures that adequate infection preventive consumables is immediate accessible such as:

• Soap and water or alcoholic hand cleaning solution

• Tissues

• Simple surgical masks

• Disposable gloves

• Thermometer

• Trash bags

• Surface cleaning fluids
