The Loons tallied 18 High-A Central League hits. Ryan Ward and Carson Taylor each had four hits, while Justin Yurchak and Joe Vranesh each had three hits. Great Lakes hit a solo home run in each of the first three innings against Captains starter Hunter Gaddis. Ward homered in the first, Taylor went deep in the second and Andy Pages hit a home run in the third. The Loons added East Division W L GB four runs in the fourth, including a three-run double by Vranesh. Vranesh doubled home another run in the fifth and Dayton (Cincinnati) 25 18 -- Yurchak added the final blow in the eighth with an RBI single. The Captains’ lone run came on a Bryan Lavastida RBI ground out in the third. Gaddis allowed seven runs over 3.2 innings to take the loss.
