Launched at the NPE1994 trade show, the injected paint technology, or IPT, was developed by the EPIC Group, which was made up of 25 companies in six major research areas related to engineering polymers, including H.B. Fuller Evode, Battenfeld GmbH, DSM, Caradon Rolinx, and toolbuilders Clearplas and Mouldflow. The IPT process involved parts being in- 10 jection molded and painted in the same Cover Photo Getty Images mold, and parts ranging from two to 12 mm wall thicknesses had been produced at the show.
