WORLD IN FLAMES RELEASED APRIL 13TH 2018

The band's third studio album is a bold statement that reflects the revitalized line up's raging ambition!

'World in Flames' captures Motör Militia firing on all cylinders tearing through eight ferocious all new original Thrash Metal anthems!

The album tells the epic tale of evil and destruction through the ages approaching end times. Leaning heavily on the writings of scripture, history and conspiracy theories as sources of influence and inspiration.

The tale begins with the epic "Zul" depicting the hero of old 'Dhul Qarnayn' waging war on the chaotic evil of Gog and Magog. "Ascendancy" continues the tale illustrating the building and forging of the wall to separate the world of man from that of the forces of Gog and Magog. The victory users in times of peace and progress for man but it doesn’t last.

We continue the saga with "Illuminate" as sailors end up stranded on a desert island they notice a monastery located on the hill. As the trees do not appear to bear any fruit in their search for food and shelter they approach the structure only to be lured by the beast they find changed and locked away. The beast known as the “Eye”, the false messiah. Under its spell they aid in its release. As the beast escapes it vows to reap havoc on man for locking it up for millennia.

With evil back in the world man has been corrupted and organized groups of agents of evil bind themselves in blood and ritual to their evil ends. "Altar" envisions these societies’ inaugural rituals that look to serve the Eye in return for worldly fortune and pleasures. As these secret societies being to reign supreme over worldly affairs of politics and finance "Supremacy" portrays the corrupt in positions of power and influence revealing themselves to the masses in a display of total domination as service to the Eye.

"Fallacy" shows the world falling into oblivion. With the flood gates open evil is boundless and running amok. These new heights of evil bring forth the “Heretic Eye” as it rises the False Messiah lays waste to the world of man, enslaving them to do his bidding.

Seemingly without hope of redemption what little is left of man untainted by evil await the resurrection of the true Messiah. "Reckoning" brings the saga full circle setting up for the final epic battle between good and evil. Exposing the treacherous devices of the corrupt bringing them to a swift end.

WE ARE MOTÖR MILITIA

Based out of Bahrain and formed in 2001, Motör Militia is one of Bahrain's premier heavy metal bands. In our over decade long career we have helped rejuvenate and further our local and neighboring Heavy Metal communities: by pulling together with fellow bands, we helped to organize concerts at a pace faster than previously realized in the country.

Moreover, as the first Thrash Metal band in the region to record and release an album of original material on an independent record label in 2004, the band helped spread the word on behalf of the genre from the Middle East to an international audience in the process.

JOHN BAKER VOCALS

John Baker (JB), joined Motör Militia in 2016, after moving to Bahrain from Australia; where he was a successful Thrash Metal and Hard Rock performer, singer and songwriter.

Joining Motör Militia has allowed him the opportunity to continue to showcase his vocals, just the way he likes, in an aggressive performance style, with an amazing group of extremely talented musicians.

JB had performed for many years, in a number of successful bands across Australia, in line ups that included some of the best national acts of the time.

Being well known for his in your face, energetic performance and ferocious vocals. JB thrives on the opportunity to showcase the best of what live music has to offer, giving the audience a show they will not forget.

JB's passion for Thrash Metal and Hard Rock, started as a young boy. His musical influences to date still include the likes of Pantera, Anthrax, , Testament and , although he enjoys all genres of music.

AHMED JANAHI GUITAR

Ahmed Janahi joined the band's lineup in 2014 on rhythm and lead guitar.

Ahmed came to the band's attention through the Experiment super group in which other Motör Militia members had also featured.

Ahmed has enabled the band to kick things up a gear with his face melting leads and skull crushing riffs all over "World in Flames"!

Bringing a more legato theory based approached to the bands song writing has helped the band grow and develop musically while continuing to maintain the Thrash edge it is known for.

His biggest musical influences include Randy Rhoads, Jesper Strömblad, Michael Amott, Jason Becker and Kiko Loureiro to name a few.

When Ahmed isn't busy with the band he plays competitive tennis and if you ever catch him in action you will notice he is left handed, but plays guitar right handed.

HISHAM ALAWADHI GUITAR

Hisham Alawadhi has been a member of Motör Militia since the summer of 2007, on rhythm and lead guitar. He has a lengthy CV predating his joining; having played with several local cover bands, notably Morgue and Dive as far back as 2003!

When Motör Militia reformed in 2007 Hisham had already been on the band's radar from before the hiatus of 2006. After one phone call all was set and the band has not looked back since.

Hisham has been a key writing contributor to the last 2 studio albums, most notably crafting the monstrous riffs behind 'March of The Saracens' and 'Illuminate'!

Drawing his inspiration from the likes of Kerry King, James Hetfield, Michael Romeo, Alexi Laiho and Mille Petrozza, Hisham always has plenty of skull crushing riffs up his sleeve.

When not busy with the band Hisham is either at the gym bulking up or souping up a race car at a garage!

MOHAMMED ALKHUZAIE BASS

Mohammed Alkhuzaie joined the band on bass in early 2017. He had previously played and performed with local bands Berserk and Purified as well as an appearance with the Experiment super group.

Mohammed has been a performing musician since he was 15 years old. Although he may be the youngest member of the band he is certainly capable of holding his own; anchoring the band with his thunderous bass lines!

When he joined the Motör Militia the band was in the middle of recording an album and he was quickly thrown into the deep end of studio tracking without having had any previous experience. He proved to be a quick learner and valuable asset giving "World in Flames" a very solid foundation.

Moh'd is also a guitarist and avid guitar collector with probably one of the biggest private collections in Bahrain!

He's also a true speed demon and motor enthusiast whether on 2 or 4 wheels!

ABDULLA MUIJRERS DRUMS

Abdulla Muijrers has been the driving force behind the kit in the band since 2001! The founding member of Motör Militia and a pillar of the Metal and Music community in Bahrain.

Acting as co-songwriter, lyricist, arranger, manager, promoter and producer Abdulla has resiliently kept the band going through thick and thin for close to 20 years!

He has also been involved professionally in the industry of Musical Instruments since 2005; and has been pulling the strings behind Bahrain’s largest importer and retailer of musical instruments and supplies since 2007.

He was also the organizer and promoter behind the original "FVF" festivals held in Bahrain between 2003 and 2004 revolutionizing the local Metal scene and emphatically shifting the focus from cover songs to original compositions!

Abdulla has been a proud endorser of Vater drumsticks and accessories since 2008, having switched to the brand's products in 2004. You can find his profile on Vater's website here: https://www.vater.com/#!/artists/799

He currently uses the Xtreme Design 5A wood tip sticks, Red Wood bass drum beaters, stick and finger tape, Buzzkill dampeners and Slick Nut Cymbal fasteners.

HISTORY 2001-2017

Formed in 2001 by school mates Motör Militia is regarded as one of the first metal bands in the Arabian Gulf and Middle East to record and release a full-length album of original material on an independent label. In 2003 Motör Militia built a following based on word of mouth promotion in their local and neighboring Middle Eastern music communities.

Members of the group also began interacting with many other bands in their local heavy metal scene, organizing DIY heavy metal and hard rock concerts at a pace faster than previously realized. This, in addition to the band's decision to play sets consisting almost entirely of original material (and subsequently recording and releasing it), influenced many local groups to do the same.

The first FVF Music Festival was organized by Motör Militia on October 23rd 2003. Only the bands’ second live performance the event attracted a crowd in excess of 1,000 people!

In the spring of 2004 while riding the wave of momentum that had been created the band was signed by the Saudi based independent label “SandStorms Records” to record and release an album of original material. 'The Sound of Violence' was released in June that year and launched at the final FVF show.

In 2007 the band regrouped with a new lineup and continued where they left off. As a result of their resurgence they aided in the resurrection of the Bahrain live Metal scene, which had almost disappeared in their absence. In 2010 the band independently recorded the album “Cloaked in Darkness” which became the cultivation of the work of a band that refused to lie down.

After the album's release in 2011 the band hit the road notably headlining the Dorrak Festival in Bahrain, performing twice in Dubai and at the Deccan Rock Festival in Hyderabad, India. Returning to Bahrain closing out 2011 with an appearance at the annual Bud Battle of the Bands; an event traditionally reserved for hotel-based cover bands. Being allowed to participate for the first time the band took the event by storm leaving a lasting impression.

The release party for 'Cloaked in Darkness' in 2011 was captured by the owner of Studio 77 (under the name ‘Rabble Rouser Studios’ at the time). This recording was subsequently released in 2012 as a split live DVD featuring performances by fellow Bahrain based bands Lunacyst and Smouldering In Forgotten alongside Motör Militia entitled 'Resurrection: The Bahrain Underground Vol. 1'.

The band continued performing live with notable appearances: opening for Nervecell's second Bahrain performance in 2012 and at the 2013 Bahrain National Day Festival at the Bahrain International Circuit in front of a national audience.

In 2015 the band performed at Sanitarium V as the headliner before beginning work on their 3rd studio album. The band took breaks to perform at the first ever Iron Dunes event in 2016 and also performed at the Hard Rock Café Hard Rock Rising International Battle of the Bands 2017.
