Don’t get me wrong, I have no interest in promoting smoking in this column. But ashtrays would have to be one of my favourite types of WAFL collectables. Over the years, I’ve seen plenty of different types and those I like best are probably a set of glass ashtrays that had colourful 1960s club logos on the bottom. But those I’m featuring today are a bit different. Though I’ve not seen many of these in my years of collecting, I have spotted at least four different pottery ashtrays – two for Swans, one for Subiaco and one for Claremont – during the past couple of months.
