Holly Madison Hollywood Ferret April 2016 Magazine HOLLYWOOD FERRET Volume 4 Issue 29 Hugh HefnerThe Playboy Himself Holly Madison Hollywood Ferret Recap The last issue was one which discussed several topics and highlighted a few new things which we felt was a must for ev- eryone. In the past issue we discussed the relative to ferrets known as Otters. We especially like otters because they are super cute and love water, absolutely adorable. Of course in addition to the cute elements we went on to discuss one very alarming element whose technical name is Disseminated Idiopathic Myofasciitis; however, it is more com- monly known as DIM. We also discussed something that many people can look forward to this voting season in November as there will be a very special ballot section featuring ferrets. One portion of the past issue which we really enjoyed was the dis- cussion as to why we do everything we do to and with Hollywood Ferret as it is purely our dedication and motivation to make ferrets better in ev- ery aspect. On a sadder note, we also discussed the deadly six elements and specifically discussed in great detail the fatal adrenal disease. Of course being a global company we also like to showcase places around the globe and last time we were able to share some details about India. Lastly, we focused on the inside parts of ferrets focusing on the ferret’s tongue. We hope you enjoyed our past issue and look forward to this new issue and all we have to share with you! 8 Hollywood Ferret * Tuesday 5 - Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Mojave & #Horror April 2016 12 - N/A 19 - The Revenant 26 - Krampus 1 Friday 2 * Friday 1 - Kill Your Friends & Sold 8 - The Boss, Mr. Right, Everybody Wants Some & Demolition 15 - The Jungle Book, Criminal, Barber- 3 4 5 6 7 8 Friday 9 shop: The Next Cut & The Adderall Diaries 22 - Tale of Tales, Precious Cargo, A Hologram For The King & Elvis & Nixon 29 - Mother’s Day, The Family Fang & Special Correspondents (netflix Only) 10 11 12 13 14 15 Friday 16 Movie Tide Saturday 2 - N/A 9 - N/A 16 - Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday (Hef’s Pick) 23 - N/A Hef’s Pick 30 - Stonehearst Asylum 17 18 19 20 21 22 Friday 23 Highlights April Fools Day National Ferret Day iHeart Radio Music Awards MTV Movie Awards Animal Foundation’s Best in Show 24 25 26 27 28 29 Friday 30 Friendship Day Kimmy Schmidt Season 2 on Netflix Earth Day *Subject to Change FROM THE EDITORS MustelidaeFerret Relatives For this issue we are very pleased to discuss the European Pine Marten which is commonly known simply as the pine marten, especially in their homeland of Anglophone Europe. More specifically one should know that this is an animal native to Northern Europe which also belongs to the mus- telidae family which as you know is the same family that ferrets come from as well as others which we will discuss in greater detail in future issues. The pine martin is about the size of a domestic cat and their habitats are usually well- wooded areas. European pine martens usually make their own dens in hollow trees or scrub-covered fields. 3232 “That’s So Fun”1 Selling Pornography for Men to Women in The Girls Next Door Karen Boyle Pornification This chapter focuses on the hit U.S. TV show, The Girls Next Door (GND),2 a “reality” series following the lives of three women—Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt, and Kendra Wilkinson—who, until 2008, lived at the Playboy mansion as Hugh Hefner’s “girlfriends.”3 GND has been phenomenally successful for E!: In 2007, it was the cable channel’s most watched show, with women making up 70% of the audience (Kaplan, 2007). According to Lisa Berger, E!’s executive vice president of programming and development, women’s embrace of the show was something of a surprise: “I thought that [female viewers] were going to hate these women” (Kaplan, 2007). Counter to Berger, I want to argue that GND very deliberately courts a female audience—and, specifically, a young female audience—but that to do so involvesDo a marginalization not copy, of Playboy’s raisonpost, d’être, euphemisticallyor distribute. encapsulated in Playboy magazine’s strap line: “entertainment for men.” How “entertainment for men” is transformed into a hit TV show for women and girls is the main concern of this chapter. However, I want to begin by placing this analysis in a broader context. To note that the boundaries between the pornographic and the mainstream have become increasingly blurred in recent years is hardly news: This has been a theme in academic and popular com- mentary for some time now. And this process has been given a variety of labels: porno-chic, pornification, pornographication.

Celebrating Our Spring 2020 Graduates Celebrating Our Spring 2020 Graduates 108th ACADEMIC YEAR Middle Tennessee State University Murfreesboro, Tennessee Middle Tennessee State University has graduated 147,644 students since its inception in 1911. These students have received associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, educational specialist, and doctoral degrees. Our first Doctor of Arts degrees were conferred on December 22, 1972, the first Educational Specialist degrees on December 20, 1974, the first Doctor of Philosophy degrees on May 10, 2003, and the first Doctor of Education degrees on August 6, 2016. There have been 399 Doctor of Arts degrees, 1,907 Educational Specialist degrees, 355 Doctor of Philosophy degrees, and 30 Doctor of Education degrees awarded. To the True Blue Class of 2020: At MTSU, we’ll never forget our class of May 2020 graduates. Like past graduates, you stayed up half the night preparing for exams, felt the self- satisfaction of finishing a paper you never thought you could write, and no doubt walked cross-campus in the rain from the only parking spot you could find. But unlike most past graduates, you endured a true crisis to cross your educational finish line. The suddenness of the COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent transition to online learning meant you never returned from spring break to tell your vacation stories in person. You completed your college career online and remotely, likely staring into a Zoom grid. Regrettably, you missed out on triumphant shared experiences like receiving well- deserved congratulations from a trusted professor at the end of your final course, or a hug from a longtime classmate, or, perhaps most poignantly, the formal ceremony to commemorate your achievement.

Daniel O’Keefe wrote the episode based on a holiday invented by his dad as a way of ‘airing family grievances’.
