The Physician Assistant Residency Program in Neurology at Cooper University Health Care is a 12 month training program designed to provide advanced training in the fi eld of neurology, with exposure to neurosurgery, neuroradiology, neurocritical care, and neuropsychology. Our state-of-the-art hospital provides training facilities for numerous residency programs and medical fellowships. Our department is part of the multidisciplinary, patient- centered Cooper Neurological Institute (CNI), which facilitates a team approach to improving the patients’ experience and outcomes.

Three residents are accepted per year with a rolling admissions start date. Compensation and benefi ts are offered, including two weeks of vacation, sick days, and holidays.

The Physician Assistant Residency Program in Neurology includes rotations through focused didactics and clinical practice. Residents will receive hands- on education delivered by faculty with expertise in their fi elds. This includes guided studies and lectures, simulation and skill lab practicals, and modular examinations. The remaining 11 months of the program consist of clinical inpatient and outpatient rotations. Cooper Medical School of Rowan University’s (CMSRU) Medical Education Building is located on the Cooper Health Sciences Campus on South Broadway, between Benson and Washington Streets in Camden. The building, which opened in July 2012, was designed for CMSRU’s curriculum with spaces and technologies to support faculty and students in their educational process.
