But the best people to support you are people who know what theY’re talking aBout – people like MacMillan.’ When Ian’s wife Kate was diagnosed with cervical cancer at the age of 30, it was a huge shock. And they were devastated when they found out it was incurable. Thankfully Kate’s Macmillan nurse Vikki was there for her. And Ian’s also used Macmillan’s services. ‘The link from the Macmillan website is where it all starts really. That’s the hub of all knowledge.’ Now Ian, Kate and daughter Grace are trying to stay positive and enjoy the time they’ve got together. Ian’s even done several events for Macmillan, including the London Marathon. ‘We want to raise as much money as possible and put something back in, especially now we’re using the services.’ Cancer is the toughest fight most of us will ever face. But no one should go through it alone. The Macmillan team is with you every step of the way, from the nurses and therapists helping you through treatment to the campaigners improving cancer care. He was also a judge on Strictly Come Dancing Special, Comic Relief Does Fame Academy, Strictly Ice Dancing, Strictly African Dancing Armand Attard and appears regularly on BBC2´s It Takes Two with Zoe Ball.
