On Tuesday, Chinese state media, Xinhua reported, that the Communist Party of (CPC) had announced new provincial appointments in , Jilin and Shaanxi.

The moves is designed to fill top provincial positions left open after the 18th Party Congress in November.

The most remarkable announcement is the appointment of Inner Mongolia Party Chief,Hu Chunhua, as new Party Secretary of China's liberal export- powerhouse Guangdong.

Hu, 49, belongs to the so-called sixth generation of Chinese leaders. He has spent his career in Tibet (where he actually learned Tibetan) and Inner Mongolia where he was came to after a brief stint in Hebei, where he was rapidly moved away after a scandal over tainted milk that killed six children and left thousands ill, broke.
