38 2001 Washburn Media Guide Washburn History Laura Klamm was inducted into Lady Blues in the Washburn Athletics Hall of Postseason Play Fame on Feb. 14, 1998. Klamm was a three-time NAIA All-American in softball and a member of the NAIA Hall of Fame. 1999 She had an all-time pitching record of 79- 27 and led the Lady Blues to two NAIA national tournament appearances in 1985 and 1986. Klamm was named the NAIA tour- nament most valuable player in 1985 and was also selected to the all-tournament team as a senior in 1986. In addition to her off-field accomplish- ments, she was a NAIA Academic All- American in 1986. Her jersey number “17” DISTRICT 10 was retired following the 1986 season.
