ColorLite sph900 Spectrophotometer

Description The Spectrophotometer ColorLite sph900 is a colour measuring instrument suitable for a wide range of applications, especially through the package of accessories on offer. The sph900 has all of the user friendly qualities and advantages of the sph850 but with up to date features such as Bluetooth interface and a high resolution O-LED display.

Not only does this high resolution display offer brilliant full colour contrast, but makes operating much easier as more information is displayed.

The sph900 has high speed electronics enabling measuring time of less than two seconds.

Using a grating spectrometer with high specifications and ideal reproducibility makes the device perfect for customers with high quality demands typical in industries such as automobile.

Ideal handling as the probe head is only 25 mm in diameter and just over 80 mm in length weighing only 110 grams! Scans are simply triggered by pressing the sprung probe head downwards, against even the smallest of samples which can be held in the other The ColorLite sph900 hand. Special probe heads are optional with a smaller aperture or with a V-Block fitting for cables cylindrical probes such as cables and rods.

A comprehensive range of accessories permits the use for a wide range of samples – for example it is possible to measure different powders, liquids, and inhomogeneous products such as granules. In addition to this a version with stainless steel waterproof (IP67) probe head ideal for working in harsh, wet conditions typical for example in the food industry.

The sph900 offers you the unique option of having both main geometries 45°/0° and d/8° available in one device. Using a small integrating sphere (MA35-UK option) with a special optic the normal 45°/0° geometry is converted into a d/8° according to DIN 5033. The ColorLite sph900 unifies the advantages of both geometries. Suppliers only need one spectrophotometer to comply the demands of their customers, who traditionally work with different geometries.

All the sph900 adapters using an auxiliary source are controlled from the main unit over a smart interface. This recognises the accessory automatically adjusts the settings accordingly

Our quality control database software ColorDaTra Professional with an online mode is simple to use. It enables an easy operation and management of your colour data directly from the PC.

ColorLite sph850 Spectrophotometer

The Spectrophotometer ColorLite sph850 is colour measuring instrument suitable for a wide range of applications. By using newest micro systems components the development of a device that is compact, easy to use, with an ideal price performance relationship was possible. The probe head is, in comparison to other systems on the market where it is integrated into the device, connected via a flexible cable with the base unit. Hereby greatly improving the handling of the device. The small diameter of the measuring spot (3.5 mm) also enables small and curved probes, such as cables and pens, to be scanned. The measurement can be started by pressing a key or by lightly pressing the sprung probe head downwards onto the sample. But this is not the only aspect, that makes working with the sph850 easy even for the inexperienced user. A simply menu structure and a straightforward 4-key-operation combined with a Pass/Fail- software and an “Operator” mode make use effortless. A comprehensive assortment of accessories and special probe heads ColorLite sph850 permits the use for a wide range of samples – for example it is possible to measure different powders, liquids, and inhomogeneous products. In addition waterproof probe heads enables the work in wet and harsh environments.

The high precision device works according to the spectral method recommended by the automotive industry and meets all current standards.

The sph850 enables measurements to be made with a 45°/0° or with a d/8° geometry. To make this unique feature possible an integrating sphere adapter has been developed that transforms the 45°/0° device into a d/8° unit.

In quality control systems for measuring colours both geometries are in use. The d/8° geometry has an advantage when results need to be independent of the of the surface gloss or for measuring surfaces with a extremely high gloss value. The 45°/0° geometry is particularly suitable in most other cases as results i.e. colour differences correlate to the visual impression.

The ColorLite sph850 unifies the advantages of both geometries. Suppliers only need one spectrophotometer to comply the demands of their customers, who traditionally work with different geometries.
