Sarikamiş'ta Ermeni Olaylari
A. Ü. ABSTRACT Sarıkamış was left to Russians with 1878 Berlin Treaty. It was under occupation for 42 years along with Kars by 1920. Armenian gangs organized in the Caucasian region crossed the border to cause disturbances in Ottoman cities. One of the ways used for this was Sarıkamış. During World War I, Armenian troops within the Russian Army carried on an aggressive war against Turkish troops. With the war ending in defeat, Armenians started torture directed to Turks. Sarıkamış, taken by Ottoman Army in 1918, was given to Armenians by Britain in 1919. The Muslim population of the region had to suffer from Armenian torture until the independence on September 29, 1920. -

Ölüm Ve Zulmün Üç Hali: Birinci Dünya Savaşı'nda Bitlis
Akademik İncelemeler Dergisi (Journal of Academic Inquiries) 1 Cilt/Volume: 9, Sayı/Issue: 2, Yıl/Year: 2014 Ölüm ve Zulmün Üç Hali: Birinci Dünya Savaşı’nda Bitlis Cephesi Three State of Death and Oppression: Bitlis Front in World War I Adem Ölmez Özet Bu makalede Birinci Dünya Savaşı’nda Bitlis’te Müslümanların ve Erme- nilerin çektiği sıkıntılar, üç aşama/hal halinde anlatılmaktadır. 2 Adem Ölmez Abstract In this paper describes in three phases, the suffering of Muslims and Arme- nians in Bitlis. The study was based on the local tomography method using data from earthquakes that occurred in the study area provided by the Turkiye Cumhuriyeti Ministry of Interior Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate Earthquake Department Directorate of Turkey. The dataset used for tomography included the travel times of 54,713 P-waves and 38,863 S-waves from 6355 seismic events. The distributions of the resulting seismic velocities (Vp, Vs) down to a depth of 60 km demonstrate significant anomalies associated with the major geologic and tectonic features of the region. The Arabian plate was revealed as a high-velocity anomaly, and the low-velocity patterns north of the Bitlis suture are mostly associated with eastern Anatolia. The upper crust of eastern Anatolia was associated with a ~10 km thick high-velocity anomaly; the lower crust is revealed as a wedge-shaped low-velocity anomaly. This kind of seismic structure under eastern Anatolia corresponded to the hypothesized existence of Citation: Medved, I.; Polat, G.; a lithospheric window beneath this collision zone, through which hot material of the asthenosphere Koulakov, I. -
Varto, Hınıs, Bulanık, Malazgirt Yöresi Linyitlerinin Petrografik Özellikleri
Türkiye Jeoloji Bülteni, C. 34, 15-22, Ağustos 1991 Geological Bulletin of Turkey, V. 34, 15-22, August 1991 Varto, Hınıs, Bulanık, Malazgirt yöresi linyitlerinin petrografik özellikleri Petrographic properties of the lignites of Varto, Hınıs, Bulanık, Malazgirt regions İLKER ŞENGÜLER MTA Enerji Hammadde Etüd ve Arama Dairesi, Ankara SELAMİ TOPRAK MTA Maden Analizleri ve Teknoloji Dairesi, Ankara ÖZ: Bölgedeki linyit oluşumları, göl çökeli olan Alt Pliyosen-Üst Pliyosen yaşlı Zırnak formasyonu içinde yeralır. ABSTRACT: The lignite seams are occured in the Zırnak formation within the Hınıs basin. This unit was deposited in the limnic environment and ranges of Lower Pliocene to Upper Pliocene in age. The typical section of the formation are exposed in the Zırnak Hill. The lignite seams varying with different thiknesses have cut during drillings. The corre- lation of lignites in the region, having the Zırnak hill lignites as base have been carried out with petrographical proper- ties of the lignites in the petrographical analysis, the lignite seams seem to contain of high amount of iron, clay-silicate minerals as well as exinite macerals but low amount of humunite macerals and it seems that the amount of inertinite macerals are mostly lower than exinite macerals. -
