Knowledge of the Land 2017 Welcome to Kasetsart University Kasetsart University is a national research university in Thailand. It was the first agricultural university and is the third oldest university in Thailand. Even though the university has since expanded its curricula to cover many other subject areas, it is still internationally known for its top tier research and programs in agriculture, tropical forestry, agro-industry, fisheries and engineering. Today, in addition to agricultural sciences, one can study science, arts, social sciences, humanities, education and architecture at KU. The great achievement and honor of the university is that Kasetsart University is ranked 29th in the world, 4th in Asia and 1st in ASEAN in the fields of agriculture and forestry in the QS World University Rankings of 2017. Kasetsart University has four campuses, with an enrollment of almost 70,000 students. There are international students from over 40 countries every year. KU offers its international students many activities during the semester, for example, trips in the Bangkok metropolitan area, Thai cooking and language classes, sports days, the KU International Food Fair and the KU Buddy Program. Today, Kasetsart University not only retains its function as an important higher education institution in Thailand, but it also serves as a popular university for international students around the world. Kasetsart University has grown steadily and has accomplished much through the years. It has become a comprehensive university that is highly regarded both nationally and internationally. The rooms are furnished with a bed, a mattress, pillows (students must bring their own sheets and pillow cases), a wardrobe, a desk and a chair. There is also a refrigerator, air conditioning, a washing machine, and Wifi services. However, there are very limit numbers of rooms for international students. This study aimed to examine virus antibody in 354 rodents trapped among 6 different villages of Nakhon Pathom Province (February-March, 1998) and in 326 rodents trapped among 14 villages of Nakhon Ratchasima Province (August-October, 1998). Seroprevalence among rodents from Nakhon Pathom Province (2.3%), was mostly find in Rattus norvegicus (3.8%) and Bandicota indica (2.6%). In Nakhon Ratchasima Province seroprevalence (4.0%) was mostly in Bandicota indica (19.1%) and Rattus exulans (3.5%). A serological survey has been carried out to detect evidence of hantavirus infection in rodents from two provinces of Thailand. This study aimed to examine virus antibody in 354 rodents trapped among 6 different villages of Nakhon Pathom Province (February-March, 1998) and in 326 rodents trapped among i 4 villages of Nakhon Ratchasima Province (August-October, 1998). Seroprevalence among rodents from (2.3%), Nakhon Pathom Province was mostly find in Rattus norvegicus (3.8%) and Bandicota indicu (2.6%). In Nakhon Ratchasima Province seroprevalence (4.0%) was mostly in Bandicota irdica (19.1 %) and Rattus esulirris (3.5%).
