Pázmány Péter Katolikus Egyetem Hittudományi Kar Johann Michael Sailer a centrum unitatis újrafelfedezője A centrumból élő erkölcs- és lelkipásztori teológia Dissertatio ad Doctoratum Készítette: Takács Gábor Konzulens: Prof. Dr. Puskás Attila Budapest, 2014 2 Bevezetés és köszönetnyilvánítás Korunk jellemrajzát és a modern teológia arculatát nagymértékben meghatározza a felvilágosodás korának lendületes és mindenre kiterjedő, pezsgő átalakulása. A XVIII. sz. második és a XIX. sz. első felében a dél-német területen számos jeles egyházi személyiség nem kis szerepet vállalt az egyházi felvilágosodás folyamatában, teológiai nézeteik, eszméik, felfogásuk jelen volt a II. Vatikáni zsinaton, és így napjaink egyházi életében – mégha burkoltan is – tovább hatnak. Amikor teológiai írásokat és a kapcsolódó társtudományokban keletkezett munkákat felütünk, vagy a lexikonokban az odavágó szócikkeket olvassuk, csakhamar találkozhatunk Johann Michael Sailer (Aresing bei Schrobenhausen, 1751. nov. 17. - Regensburg, 1832. máj. 20.) professzor, a későbbi regensburgi püspök nevével és teológiai munkásságának alkotóelemeivel. A saját egyházi gyökereit is kereső és kiaknázni akaró kutató aligha nélkülözheti és hagyhatja figyelmen kívül e jeles előfutárának munkásságát az erkölcstan, a dogmatika, a lelkipásztori teológia, az egyháztan, a spiritualitás története, az egyháztörténelem, a pedagógia területén. A dolgozat ebben az értelemben biografikus keretbe ágyazva, a gyökerek küzdelmének történetét mutatja be: Sailer megfutott pályája a hitnek és az Egyháznak a saját létjogosultságáért és hiteles megjelenítéséért folytatott küzdelmének története a modern világ kialakulásának kezdetén. Sailer korában, míg sokan az Egyház épületét új alapra kívánták helyezni, addig mások a már felépített épületet kívánták lecserélni - míg az egyik irányzat az épületről, addig a másik az adott alapról feledkezett meg. Sailer a szilárd alapra épített ház, számtalan lakásában folyó életet kívánta megújítani, miután a ház lakójaként felfedezte ennek az életnek és megújításának egyetlen forrását. -

TALAR The historiography of Modernism has concentrated on the doctrinal issues raised by partisans of reform and their condemnation, to the relative neglect of social and political aspects. Where such connec- tions have been made the linkage has often been extrinsic: those involved in social and political reform subscribed to theses articu- lated by historical critics and critical philosophers. The connections, however, run deeper, reaching into issues surrounding authority and autonomy, ecclesiastical control of not only Catholic intellectual life but also Catholic political and social activity. This article revisits the Oath against Modernism and brings these connections into sharper resolution. “The atmosphere created by Modernism is far from being completely dissipated.”1 T MAY WELL HAVE BEEN THE CASE, given the defects of human nature Iand the effects of original sin, that ecclesiastics on more than one occa- sion violated the second commandment when they considered the effects of Roman Catholic Modernism. The reference to the motu proprio Sacrorum antistitum in my subtitle, however, indicates that a different kind of swear- ing is of interest here. As its centerpiece, the motu proprio promulgated an Oath against Modernism, prefaced by the republication, textually, of the final, disciplinary section of the antimodernist encyclical, Pascendi dominici gregis. Following the oath was an instruction originally addressed in 1894 to the bishops of Italy and to the superiors of religious congregations C. J. T. DRAFT 2 Chapter One Stigmatized by Choice: The Self-Fashioning of Anna Katharina Emmerick, 1813 Introduction: Whose Story? The residents of Dülmen had plenty to talk about and worry over in March of 1813. By then, the Westphalian village had seen three regime changes over the course of a decade of war.1 As the front line of the battle between Napoleon’s Imperial France and the other European powers had shifted, passing soldiers made camp in Dülmen’s fields and requisitioned its goods – over 15,000 of them at one point, overwhelming the community’s 2,000 inhabitants. The French Revolution had come to their doorstep: the annexed village’s Augustinian convent was secularized, its peasants emancipated. Twenty of Dülmen’s young men had just recently been conscripted into Napoleon’s Grand Armeé, joining its long march to Russia. Now the Russian campaign was over, all twenty Dülmener soldiers were dead, and not only retreating French but Prussian and Russian troops were heading Dülmen’s way.2 Despite all these pressing concerns, a growing number of Dülmeners were talking in the streets and taverns about something else entirely: Anna Katharina Emmerick, the bedridden spinster forced to leave Dülmen’s convent upon its secularization. Con objeto de corregir tal error, que ya ha sido denunciado en otras ocasiones por grandes genealogistas como Szabolcs de Vajay, presento este trabajo que intenta mostrar toda la descendencia femenina, por líneas exclusivamente femeninas de la antepasada más antigua conocida de S.M. la Reina Doña Sofía de España. Componen esta familia, al menos, 737 mujeres de las cuales 98 viven en la actualidad. Entre ellas podemos encontrar 140 soberanas o soberanas consortes, 11 emperatrices (dos de ellas propietarias : Catalina II, Emperatriz de Rusia y Victoria I, Reina de Gran Bretaña y Emperatriz de la India), 42 reinas (cuatro propietarias : Blanca y Leonor de Navarra, Cristina de Suecia y María I de Portugal), 10 reinas consortes de España, 6 de Francia, 4 de Polonia, 3 de Suecia y 2 de Portugal.), 3 grandes duquesas soberanas consortes, 8 princesas electrices soberanas consortes, 24 duquesas soberanas consortes y otras 26 duquesas reinantes del Sacro Imperio, 2 archiduquesas-condesas reinantes de Tirol consortes, 4 princesas soberanas consortes, 50 princesas reinantes consortes del Sacro Imperio, 2 marquesas reinantes y 31 Condesas reinantes del SI. También 14 esposas de herederos de 10 reinos, 1 gran ducado y 2 ducados. -

There has been a wealth of indi- vidual studies on the life and achievements of Joseph Görres. A crit- ical edition of his works, begun in 1926 and interrupted during the Second World War, was resumed in 1958 only to be interrupted again by the early death of its editor, Heribert Raab. Work re-started in 1998, but no date has been set for its completion. Despite these unfavourable circumstances, interest in Görres has not been extin- guished. Evidence of this is provided by the two-volume selected works, Ausgewählte Werke, edited by Wolfgang 8rühwald and pub- lished in 1978, and Bernhard Wackers profound study, Revolution und Offenbarung: Das Spätwerk (18241848) von Joseph Görreseine politische Theologie (Tübingen, 1988).
