RESEARCH FOCUS . Investigating the invasion ecology of Pneumatopteris afra (a ) in Nigeria. . Effect of over exploration of mineral resources on soil and plant diversities of Nasarawa State, Nigeria. . Creating a dataset of indigenous plants growth and to investigate the influence of microgravity on the spatial orientation, growth direction, yield, molecular and physiological properties of plants using the one-axis clinostat which is an experimental platform to simulate microgravity condition (Plants in Space). . Investigating the potentials of some Pteridophytes in hyperaccumulating and remediating heavy metals from the soil (Pteridoremediation) in Nigeria.

RESEARCH FIELD WORK EXPERIENCE . Organization and execution of field trips to different ecological zones in Nigeria for undergraduate students of Department of Plant Science and Biotechnology, Federal University of Lafia, Nigeria (2012 till date).

. Plant diversity survey across nine local government areas of Nasarawa State, Nigeria. A project funded by Tertiary Education Trust Fund (2015 - 2016). . Plants diversity studies across some recreational forests in Kedah, Malaysia. A project funded by Universiti Sains Malaysia (November – December, 2018). . Scientific expedition organized by Malaysia Forestry Department in some forest reserves across Johor, Malaysia (April 14th – 18th 2019).

RESEARCH BREAKTHROUGH . My research has led to the discovery of exceptional ability of Pteris vittata (Fern) in hyperaccumulating arsenic in Nigeria. This is the first to be reported in Nigeria and the plant was able to hyperaccumulate ten thousand times the ones reported in literatures. . My research has produced the first documented list of plant species across Nasarawa State, Nigeria.
