unu THE BRAND

What does the name unu stand for? unu is Esperanto and means unique. Originally, the name was just a working title during the founding period, but was retained because the idea of an international language became the vision of the brand. unu is unique in many respects: the business model, the strategy and the vision of the brand clearly stand out from many competitors.

What is unu’s brand vision? unu was created with the vision of urban spaces, where everyone has full access to urban life, in mind. In order to realize this vision, unu develops new mobility solutions connecting users to their city in a better way. This means faster, cheaper, cleaner, simpler - and with style. We aim to make the journey to the next place, person or experience no longer an obstacle.

Who and what is behind the unu brand? In 2013 unu was founded by Elias Atahi, Pascal Blum and Mathieu Caudal. The idea for unu was born during their studies in Asia and is based on their experience of how electric scooters provide a whole new access to cities. The potential of big cities like Shanghai, Beijing and Singapore fascinated the unu founders immensely. At the same time, they noticed how difficult it is for people to utilize this potential, since mobility in those cities is often very limited. This gap led to the idea and the founding of unu.

Why does unu have its headquarters in ? The company was founded in Munich in 2013. 2015, shortly before the company's growth began to accelerate, unu decided on a long-term business location. Berlin was chosen for several reasons: the city’s proximity to new trends and the tech startup scene. unu also feels at home in Berlin: The city fits perfectly with the corporate DNA that revolves around celebrating city life. As the German

capital, Berlin is nationally and especially internationally seen as a city with immense allure and a constant source of inspiration. Furthermore, it is much easier to attract top talent to this location to recruit..

What distinguishes unu from other electric mobility brands? There are three central and clear differences that distinguishes unu from its competitors. These derive from the business model: 1) Price The price is considerably cheaper than that of many competitors and results from the shortened supply chain. In addition, unu focuses on online sales, which is new in the context of mobility: Book a test drive online, order a scooter online and have it delivered directly to your door. Even after the purchase unu remains cost-saving: charging costs of 0,80€/100 km. 2) User-friendliness - unu works with portable batteries, which can be charged at any normal power outlet. - unu is easy to drive and operate. - unu can be customized online and is delivered directly to the door. - unu is ready to drive - with the license plate mounted, it is ready for use on the road straight after unpacking. 3) Design and brand unu focuses on aesthetics, good design and user-friendliness. unu is therefore a unique mobility brand with the most attractive product on the market. In addition to the three main differences, unu is constantly working on new innovations - electric scooters are only the first stop on a long journey. unu wants to make it possible for people to use the full potential of urban space. unu stands for innovative and trend-setting technology and design that is 100 percent electrical. Where is the unu production facility located? unu produces in China. In Asia, electric mobility is already more widespread than in Germany, and therefore has a greater significance; manufacturers in Asia therefore have a more pronounced knowledge in this field. Due to the many years of experience by its manufacturers, China qualified as an ideal production location. In order to ensure the quality of the manufacturers, unu visits three to four times a year to make sure that working standards and quality meet the unu standards.

What is planned for the future? unu is always developing new and interesting mobility concepts. As a first step, electric mobility was mastered and democratized. Next, a second generation of products focussed on the topic of mobility as a service will be launched in the near future. How long does a battery last? How far can you get with a charge? The battery has a range of up to 50 km – and weighs only 9 kg. In order to make this possible, unu works with Samsung to use the most advanced battery technology on the market.

How long does the battery need to charge? The electric scooter battery can be connected to any ordinary power outlet and can be charged with the supplied charger. If the battery is completely empty, the charging process takes five hours.

Why is unu Scooter’s engine made by Bosch? unu focuses on the user and their mobility. unu does not focus on the technology of individual parts that already exist on the market, but combines existing or modified parts of partners to a user-friendly product. Only for parts that don’t yet exist, unu develops new solutions together with partners. Thanks to these economies of scale – Bosch doesn’t only sell to unu, but also in large quantities to other manufacturers – good prices can be achieved. This means that the product is also offered to customers at a correspondingly low price. The unu partner Bosch has been developing engines with very high performance for a long time. unu focuses on innovations, such as the portable battery of the first product.

TEST RIDERS AND PIONEERS

Where can I take a test ride? You can register for a test ride on the website. unu offers free test rides with technically competent pioneers in numerous cities. Link to the test rides: https://unumotors.com/en/test-ride

Who are the unu Pioneers? How does this system work? The unu Scooter should be offered as affordable as possible; that’s how the idea of the Pioneer system was born. The Pioneer system turns the classic business model upside down. Middlemen and intermediate steps are cut and the scooters are delivered from the factory directly to the customer. As a result, the product is much cheaper. In the unu model, no dealers are integrated, which is why arranging test drives is different. The entire unu experience should remain controllable and fit the brand. For that reason, there are no shops as partners for test rides, but instead an attractive network of brand ambassadors who represent unu and make the brand come to life.

DRIVE AND TECHNOLOGY

What is the difference between the three motor strengths? The range is almost the same for all three engine strengths. The difference between the different engines is mainly in the acceleration and the driving behavior on a slope: Max climbing ability (with one person): 1000W: 17% 2000W: 20% 3000W: 24% Acceleration (0-45km/h):

1000W: 17s 2000W: 15s 3000W: 12s

Is there a difference in battery range with the three engines? Since the top speed of the three motors is almost identical, the range is similar. If a 1000W motor with a charged battery can cover up to 50km, you can expect the range of a 3000W engine to maybe be 2km shorter. Ultimately, other effects such as payload, road conditions and wind and weather have much more influence on the range.

What is the maximum speed of an unu Scooter? The maximum speed of our vehicle is 45-50 km/h. This drops a little when the battery is almost empty.

What are the measurements of the unu Scooter? Length (overall): 175cm Width (body): 45cm Width (handlebar): 66cm Width (handlebar with mirror): ca. 75cm (mirrors are flexible) Height (seat): 70cm Height (handlebar): 103cm Height (handlebar with mirror): ca. 125cm (mirrors are flexible)
