  • Tackle 7'S Champions
2nd August 2018 - Week 2 Term 3 Tackle 7’s Champions Wow! What a day our Tackle 7’s side had yesterday in winning the Golden Bay/ Motueka / Moutere Schools Tackle 7’s champs, with an extra time try against the unbeaten Motueka South team. Victories against Lower Moutere, Mapua and Parklands meant we topped our pool but knew we needed to lift things to beat Motueka South as they had cruised through their pool games comfortably. The kids all played out of their skins in the final with solid tackling, hard running and being so quick to any loose ball. It was definitely their best game. A huge thanks to Kylie and Paris for their great vocal support as well as helping with transport. I didn’t expect to do as well as we did. The games were all hard but we got way better with each game. I was so sore and tired this morning. The final was nerve wracking and we nearly lost it , but Saxon made a try saving tackle and we were able to get the ball and finally score. My best bit was selling about 4 dummies in a row against Upper Moutere. Archie The games were all tough and we had to make lots of tackles and wrestled for the ball heaps. In the final we were scared to miss tackles as we knew we could lose. I was so happy when Teru scored and we had won. Trey School Calendar I think I tackled well and got lots of possession at the break down.
