The next few months will be ones filled with many opportunities to get out socialize and try new activities. Bocce and Shuffleboard began registration for their 2014 season. The leagues have games scheduled throughout the summer. On Wednesday, May 14 Senior/Senior Sports day is set to take place. An appreciation day for volunteers has been set up to tour Eleanor and Edsel Ford House with a wonderful boxed lunch. Be sure to get your wristband for the Picnic at the Park Pavilion with a concert by “Devin Scillian with Arizona Sun” on Wednesday, June 25, at Veterans Memorial Park. The picnic is $6 (will need a wristband to participate in the BBQ). Chef Marti will be preparing the picnic feast.

During these next few months while we are enjoying these fun filled activities our team will be hard at work to present the 2nd Annual Made in Michigan Festival. This year’s event has something for everyone to enjoy. There will be a wide variety of Made in Michigan vendors, eclectic musical acts, the “Roy O’Brien Made in Michigan Festival 5K Race-Miles for Meals, a Hog Wild BBQ contest, unique children’s activities and food options to get your taste buds dancing. The event would not be complete without the senior center infamous Apple Pies (and pie packets). Mark your calendars for Friday, September 19 and 20 to ensure you will be able to head on over and take full advantage of all the exciting happenings. This event is open to all ages!!!!
