REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST Tamworth Regional Airport is a large regional airport servicing the New England North West of NSW. The airport is serviced by QantasLink and Link Airways with multiple daily flights between Tamworth and Sydney and services between Tamworth and Brisbane. The annual passenger throughput numbers are currently approximately 200,000 and increasing. The COVID-19 Pandemic has impacted on passenger throughput. Tamworth Regional Airport is also a major flight training facility with a large training college on the airport. The complex has been used by the Australian Defence Force and BAE Australia Flight Training. CAE Australia Flight Training utilises the facility to train international commercial airline pilots. The airport is also a preeminent maintenance hub for the QantasLink operations and the general aviation sector. The airport is also home to the Aviskills Training facility which provides training for aircraft maintenance engineers. Council invites Interested Parties to lodge an Expression of Interest for the Proposed Lease of Hangar 8, 18-20 Shand Circuit Westdale Lot 27 DP 826112 at Tamworth Regional Airport The Expression of Interest should include sufficient details to enable Council to fully understand the intended use and business to be conducted in the building. The request for Expressions of Interest has been issued in the context of Council ensuring that the proposed lease of the site is consistent with Council’s vision for the development of the Tamworth Regional Airport as a key infrastructure asset supporting the development of economic growth within an around a major and vibrant regional centre. The Expression of Interest Form is attached at APPENDIX A. Any Expressions of Interest should address the following issues in detail: 1. Identify the proposed use for the site and the rental being offered. Including the payment of outgoings; rates, water, electricity, insurance, gas and telephone charges. 2. The only use being considered will be the use for an aviation related business. 3. Detail how the use will be consistent with existing and proposed surrounding development and use. 4. Detail how the use will be beneficial to the Tamworth regional community. 5. Provide details of the interested party(s) previous experience in carrying out business. 6. Provide details of the financial capacity of the party(s) providing the Expression of Interest to carry out such works. 7. Provide details of the interested party’s capacity and expertise to carry out the proposed business. 8. Identify the lease period together with any option period. CONDITIONS OF SUBMITTING AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST 1. Interpretation In these “Conditions of Submitting an Expression of Interest” and elsewhere, except where the context requires otherwise: “Closing Date” means the last date for the lodgement of an Expression of Interest being 11.00am on Thursday 28 January 2021; “Council” means Tamworth Regional Council and includes its authorised delegates; “Day” means business day, that is not Saturday or Sunday or a public holiday for the Council’s employees; “Expression of Interest” means lodgement of a detailed proposal or concept with respect to the proposed lease and use of the land described as Hangar 8 and being Lot 27 in DP826112 containing all requested information and documentation, with a view towards subsequently entering into negotiations with Council (refer to clause 4 of these Conditions); “Interested Party” means the person or entity lodging an Expression of Interest; “Person” includes an individual, a corporation or a body politic; “Expression of

    MEDIA RELEASE 27 November 2020 Airport Taproom now open at Canberra Airport as Aviation recovery continues Canberra Airport, in partnership with Airport Retail Enterprises (ARE) and Capital Brewing Co. opened the Airport Taproom in the departure’s terminal in early November, as borders reopen and restrictions ease around the country. The Airport Taproom is the fifth food and beverage offering to open within the last year at Canberra Airport and forms part of a wider revamp of the retail offering. The Airport Taproom was initially due to open in September; however, it was delayed due to the impacts of COVID-19, along with the temporary closure of food and beverage retailers Noodles XO and Bakers Cut. Now, with the number of flights increasing, sales have been exceptional, a sign that traveller confidence is returning as we navigate the road to recovery. Travellers can expect the authentic Capital Brewing Co. experience with popular brews including Coast Ale, Trail Ale and XPA on tap. Head of Property at Canberra Airport, Richard Snow said Canberra Airport is thrilled that the Airport Taproom has opening in terminal. “The timing is perfect as we are seeing a very steady return to aviation with flights increasing from 82 to 150 per week since the reopening of borders and are expecting a further increase in flights leading into Christmas. Capital Brewing Co. is a favourite among the Canberra Community, and we look forward to sharing this with travellers at the airport.” The Airport Taproom is another positive step forward as we navigate our way through the COVID recovery.

    MEDIA RELEASE 29 September 2020 Canberra Airport partners with Link Airways with direct flights to Hobart Canberra Airport today announced Link Airways will commence four weekly scheduled return services between Canberra and Hobart, Tasmania, from 3 December 2020 or earlier depending on the timing of the Tasmanian Government’s decision to open borders to the ACT. Link Airways, a Canberra owned airline, will provide direct flights from Canberra to Hobart for the first time since 2013, further establishing the expansion of tourism and business. Link Airways currently operates airline services from Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne to nine destinations in Queensland and New South Wales. Link Airways is owned by Corporate Air - one of the longest established aviation service providers in eastern Australia.
