AC/DC: Els Anys Amb Bon Scott It's only rock & roll | Pep Saña | Actualitzat el 11/05/2016 a les 20:50 AC/DC: Els anys amb Bon Scott Al 1963 la família dels germans Angus, Malcolm i George Young, com moltes altres famílies escoceses en aquells anys, va abandonar Glasgow per buscar fortuna a Sydney, Austràlia. El fill gran, George, va ser el primer a aprendre a tocar la guitarra. Al costat de Harry Vanda va fundar The Easybeats, una de les primeres bandes australianes d'èxit, número u al 1968 a les llistes de mig món amb Friday On My Mind. Feien un pop molt similar al que The Beatles tocaven en aquells anys, això va ser fonamental per fer néixer la passió per la guitarra en els altres dos germans de George, Angus i Malcolm. Malcolm va decidir seguir els passos de George, tocant en la banda gal·lesa The Velvet Underground (no confondre amb la banda novaiorquesa de Lou Reed). Mentre The Easybeats es convertien en els reis de l'escena musical australiana gràcies a la seva companyia, Albert Productions, els dos germans terribles van començar a organitzar els seus primers grups amb els seus companys de classe, l'embrió per al naixement d' AC/DC. Als germans Young no els agradava massa estudiar, tant Malcolm com Angus mes tard, van deixar l'escola quan van tenir l'edat legal. Va ser Margaret, la germana gran, qui va proposar a Angus adoptar l'estètica de col·legial, per recordar els anys durant els que Angus sortia corrent de l'escola per arribar a casa i practicar amb la guitarra sense canviar-se de roba, i també va ser Margaret d'alguna manera la ?culpable? del nom, a la seva màquina de cosir, Malcolm i Angus van descubrir l'abreviatura de corrent alterna i corrent continua (alternating current/direct current), l'abreviatura es AC/DC. Era l'any 1973 i acabava de néixer una banda que és immortal no només per la musica sinó per la historia contemporània. En poc temps, Angus i Malcolm es van desfer de la resta del grup i van començar la recerca de membres per una nova formació. El primer element que van reclutar va ser Ronald Belford Scott, també emigrat d'Escòcia i curtit en la crua realitat australiana dels suburbis més pobres. Bevedor ?professional?, Ronald, Bon pels amics, ja havia cantat en una banda anomenada Young Valentines i tocava varis instruments. Havia passat dos anys a la presó per agressió i havia estat expulsat de l'exèrcit australià per indesitjable, completava el currículum una denúncia per haver-se passejat pels carrers de Melbourne amb una boa constrictor penjada a l'esquena. Bon necessitava una feina i va trobar una banda que necessitava un conductor per la furgoneta. Era terrorífic". Doncs bé, Bon va ser reclutat per tocar la bateria, però Bon posseïa una gran veu i poc després es va fer amb el lloc de cantant. Es dona per fet que després de la mort de Bon Scott al 1980, Brian Johnson és el segon cantant de la banda, però això no és ben be així. En els seus inicis, tenien un altre cantant anomenat Dave Evans, amb qui AC/DC va gravar dos temes, Can I Sit Next To You Girl i Rockin' In The Parlour, per tant AC/DC ha tingut tres cantants. El lloc de bateria va ser per Phil Rudd, és l'únic membre nascut a Austràlia i havia estat presentat al grup pel propi Bon. Es va unir a AC/DC al 1975 i va deixar la banda al 1983 per una disputa amb Malcolm. Phil es va retirar a Nova Zelanda, on va fundar una empresa d'aviació en la que ell mateix pilotava. Al 1991, Phil va assistir a un concert que AC/DC feia a Nova Zelanda. En finalitzar el concert va fer una visita als camerinos de la banda. No s'havien vist en vuit anys i mig. Phil va tornar a la banda per a la gravació del disc Ballbreaker al 1994, onze anys deprés de marxar. Durant la seva absència el lloc de bateria va ser ocupat per Simon Wright i Chris Slade. Només els faltava un baixista, i van fitxar un company d'escola d'Angus, Mark Whitmore Evans. Els dos germans Young, grans admiradors de Chuck Berry (de qui Angus va aprendre el seu famós pas d'ànec), Muddy Waters i Bo Diddley, s'encarregaven de compondre la música, mentre que les lletres eren obra de Bon Scott. Cliff Williams (que tampoc es australià), va ser l'escolli't al 1977 per substituir a l'anterior baixista Mark Evans. S'ha convertit en el membre del grup, a part dels Young, que porta més anys a AC/DC. Encara que pugui semblar que és el músic que menys destaca en el grup, es un puntal i el baixista ideal per AC/DC. Bon Scott, malgrat el seu caràcter bohemi, coneixia bé el show bussines de la musica i va captar immediatament el potencial dels germans Young. Es va adonar que aquells tios anaven directes a l'èxit i va decidir pujar al carro, aportant la imatge ?macarra? que lluïa en aquells temps i sobretot la seva increïble veu. Produït pel seu germà gran George Young i Harry Vanda dels que he parlat anteriorment, i popularment coneguts com Vanda & Young per la producció musical, Albert Productions va signar un contracte amb la sucursal australiana d' EMl per la distribució dels seus productes. Així, sota l'etiqueta EMI/Albert, va aparèixer el primer àlbum d' AC/DC. Aquest disc tindria dues versions, l'original australiana de 1975 i una reedició internacional amb algun canvi editada a l'any següent. T.N.T. Son una de les bandes més treballadores del panorama rocker, fent dos i tres concerts diaris sempre que podien i recorrent l'àmplia geografia australiana en furgoneta. Descobreixen que el públic respon millor amb la seva faceta més rítmica i dura, així que incideixen encara més en un boogie rock súper amplificat amb riffs de guitarra demolidors i el duet Bon & Angus es converteix en l'element principal dels concerts. Produït també per Vanda & Young, en aquest disc es quan s'incorpora el nou bateria Phil Rudd. Aquí, ja es pot dir que sonen definitivament als AC/DC clàssics i es quan comencen a arribar els seus primers himnes immortals, com el tema d'obertura, It's A Long Way To The Top, on Bon, rememorant el seu passat musical, toca un esplèndid solo de gaita escocesa. Aquí semblen sentir-se encara més còmodes i sonen més agressius i contundents que mai. En aquells dies estaven descobrint que no hi havia banda que pogués plantar-los cara en directe, normalment es menjaven als seus companys de cartell i aquesta confiança es trasllada a l'àlbum. El boogie rock té una importància encara més gran, malgrat que tot sona més potent. Editat per la mateixa companyia i produït també per Vanda & Young, existeixen dues versions del disc, l'original australiana i una altra internacional, que varien en alguna cançó. Aquest va ser el primer àlbum amb el que es van fer sentir fora d'Austràlia i Europa va obrir les orelles. En realitat conté una selecció de temes dels dos primers discos editats al seu país d'origen. A Europa i la resta del món és la versió que es va comercialitzar, i és el primer disc d' AC/DC que es va poder comprar a les botigues de discos.
