Students arriving from outside of the EU should contact their health insurance companies to determine if they are covered while studying abroad. Sufficient private health insurance cover is required for you to register with INIS. If you are utilising your insurance from your home country for your stay in Ireland, please ensure that it meets Immigration requirements. A local plan bought in Ireland will cost in the region of €1000 per year.
