There are three terms per academic year: the Michaelmas Term (September-December), the Hilary Term (January-March) and the Trinity Term (April-June)

Michaelmas Term 2021

Tuesday 07 September Returning students to arrive by 18:00 Wednesday 08 September New students to arrive by 18:00 Induction and Orientation for Year 11 and Year 12 Thursday 09 - Friday 10 September 08:30: courses commence for Year 13 Friday 22 October 18:00: half-term vacation begins Sunday 31 October All students to return by 18:00 Friday 05 December - Thursday 09 December End of term exams for all students - obligatory attendance Saturday 11 December Term ends. Students are free to leave from 07:00

Hilary Term 2022

Sunday 09 January All students to return by 18:00 Friday 11 February 18:00: half-term vacation begins Sunday 20 February All students to return by 18:00 Wednesday 22 March - Tuesday 29 March ‘Mock’ examinations week - obligatory attendance Saturday 02 April Term ends. Students are free to leave from 07:00

Trinity Term 2022

Sunday 24 April All students to return by 18:00 Monday 02 May UK public holiday: no lessons Mid-May Summer public examinations session begins Friday 27 May 18:00: half-term vacation begins Sunday 05 June All students to return by 18:00 12:15: end of term and the academic year • Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) Thursday 23 June • Work Placement • UCAS personal statement Mid-August Results published For staff: Inset days will take place on Friday 03 September, Monday 06 September, Friday 07 January and Friday 22 April. Earlscliffe operates holiday courses Easter: Saturday 09 - Friday 22 April 2022 Summer: Sunday 26 June - Saturday 13 August 2022 Earslcliffe academic year students may be asked to vacate their rooms during half-terms to accommodate fellow Earlscliffe students staying on campus. All students must vacate their rooms for the Easter/summer holiday periods and take their belongings with them or use the student storage system offered through the college for which a fee is payable.
