Tyske Indberetninger for Den 9. Marts 1945 I foråret 1945 kunne 8th Air Force operere næsten uhindret over tysk område. Kun nogle få gange lykkedes det for de tyske jagerstyrker at gennemtrænge de eskorterendes jageres beskyttende ring i større grad og forårsage alvorlige skader på de amerikanske formationer. Heller ikke vejret satte en stopper for bombeangrebene. De vestallieredes navigationssystemer var på dette tidspunkt så veludbyggede, at både RAF Bomber Command og 8th Air Force var i stand til at bombe selv om det var overskyet. Naturligvis foretrak bombestyrke at angribe i godt vejr, men i marts 1945 var der så mange dage med overskyet, at man bombede ved hjælp af radar, OBOE eller GH. Starke Einflüge von zweimot Kampfverbänden nach W- und SW-Deutschland mit Schwerpunkt Mittelrheingebiet. Lebhafte Jagdtätigkeit über NW-, W- und SW-Deutschland mit Schwerpunkt Mittelrheingebiet. Lebhafte Aufklärungstätigkeit über NW- und Mitteldeutschland. Süden Grosseinflug von etwa 500 amerikanischen Kampfflugzeugen mit Jagdschutz zum Angriff auf Graz und zu Nebenangriffen auf Klagenfurt. Geringe Jagd- und lebhafte Aufklärungstätigkeit über S- und SO-Deutschland. Im einzelen A. Westen: Viermot. Kampfverbände: Den Kampfverbänden voraus Wetteraufklärer in die Zielräume. Ab 06.20 Versammlungsbegind von etwa 1000 Kampfflugzeugen aller 3 amerikanischen Bomberdivisionen. Ab 07.55 Beginn der Ausflüge in der Reihenfolge: 3., 1., 2. BD mit O-Kurs über Zuider See bis i.d.R. N Osnabrück. 08.55 Einflug in das Reichsgebiet zwischen Meppen und Lingen. Die Verbände der 3. BD - etwa 350 Flugzeuge - drehen i.R. Osnabrück auf S- Kurs und fliegen über Bielefeld - Paderborn - Giessen i.d.R. Frankfurt/M zum Angriff auf Frankfurt von 09.56 - 10.20 aus 5000 - 6000 m. Ab 10.00 Beginn der Rückflüge mit W-Kurs. Verbände der 1. BD - etwa 350 Flugzeuge - fliegen aus dem Raum N Osnabrück mit SO-Kurs in breiter Front zwischen Hildesheim und Holzminden, mit Teilen bis über Goslar ausholend, zum Angriff auf Kassel von 10.05 - 10.28 aus 5500 - 6500 m. Ab 10.10 Rückflüge in breiter Front mit W-Kurs. Verbände der 2. BD - etwa 300 Flugzeuge - verbleiben in 3 Angrffsgruppenin westfälischen Raum zum Angriff auf Osnabrück, Münster und Rheine von 09.37 - 10.00 aus 5000 - 6000 m. Ab 09.45 Beginn der Rückflüge mit W-Kurs. Bei Teilen der 2. BD Diskusführung erkannt. B-17 fra 379th Bomb Group i luften over Tyskland. I forgrunden ses B-17G 44-8425 med tilnavnet 'Connie', der var tilgået enheden den 14. oktober 1944 og som fløj operativt indtil den 17. april 1945, hvor flyet blev beskadiget over Dresden og den efterfølgende dag blev kanibaliseret. BG - über Zuider See mit O-Kurs. 16.30 Einflug in das Reichsgebiet zwischen Meppen und Lingen und unmittelbares Abdrehen auf W-Kurs ohne gemeldeten Angriff. Vermutlicher Angriff des Dormund-Ems-Kanals infolge Wetterlage nicht zur Durchführung gekommen. Jagdschutz durch etwa 30 Flugzeuge unmittelbar beim Kampfverband. 16.50 Letzter Ausflug Reichsgebiet. Teilverbände erreichen den Zielraum über Gurkfeld - Marburg. Ab 12.40 Beginn der Rückflüge mit W-Kurs. Jagdschutz durch etwa 250 Flugzeuge, mit der Masse unmittelbar bei den Kampfverbänden, mit Teilen nach N bis i.d.R. Pilsen und München - Landshut vorstossend. 16.15 letzter Aufflug Reichsgebiet. Jagdtätigkeit 05.20 - 14.00 insgesamt etwa 60 Flugzeuge über S- und SO-Deutschland ohne erkennbaren Schwerpunkt. Aufklärung 05.20 - 15.00 insgesamt 32 Flugzeuge, davon i.d.R. Altötting - Traunstein (11) i.d.R. Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Füssen (3) i.d.R. München - Augsburg - Ansbach (6) i.d.R. Kufstein - Lechfeld (4) i.d.R. Graz (4) i.d.R. Salzburg (3) i.d.R. Murau (1) Den 9. marts 1945 indsatte Luftwaffe ingen jagere mod de amerikanske og britiske indflyvninger med firemotorede bombefly. Dagens forsvar bestod af skydning med tungt luftværnsskyts, der var placeret ved alle dagens mål for de strategiske bombestyrker. (C. Petersen) 2. Eigener Einsatz Gegen viermot einflüge kein Einsatz. Schadensmeldungen zu den Einflügen Reichsgebiet am 9.3.45 Zu den Einflügen 1040-1615 Uhr: Einflug von etwa 500 amerikanischen Kampfflugzeugen mit Jagdschutz in die Ostmark zum Angriff auf Industrie- und Vekehrsziele in den räumen Graz und Klagenfurt. Tungt luftværnsskyts af typen 12,8 cm stationeret i den vestlige del af Tyskland. Dette var den tunge type luftværnsskyts, som tyskerne havde i normal produktion. Denne type luftværnskanon kunne skyde op til 20.900 meter og havde en maksimal skudhøjde på 14.800 m. Brandrøret (for detonation i luften) i den 26 kg tunge granat gjorde dog, at granaten detonerede efter 12.800 meter. I foråret 1945 var skytset næsten bemandet i døgndrift - et koldt og fugtigt arbejde. Grundet ammunitionsmangel var der forbud mod at skyde mod enkeltflyvende maskiner, hvilket bevirkede at f.eks. fotorekognosceringsmaskiner ikke længere blev beskudt. (C. Industrieschäden: Simmering-Graz-Pauker AG: (Waggonfabrik): Werk Graz schwer getroffen. Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG: Werk Graz (Waffen und Fahrzeuge): und einige weitere Industriebetriebe geroffen. Verkehrsschäden: Treffer im Hauptbahnhof. Meldungen über Gebäudeschäden und Personen verluste stehen noch aus. Klagenfurt 1353-1407 Uhr Schwerpunkt Haupt- und Frachtenbahnhof. Industrieschäden: Fa.
