Communication Studies History and Development of the Communication Regulatory Agency in Bosnia and Herzegovina 1998 – 2005 (247 pp.) Director of Thesis: Gregory Newton During the war against Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) over 250,000 people were killed, and countless others were injured and lost loved ones. Almost half of the B&H population was forced from their homes. The ethnic map of the country was changed drastically and overall damage was estimated at US $100 billion. Experts agree that misuse of the media was largely responsible for the events that triggered the war and kept it going despite all attempts at peace. This study examines and follows the efforts of the international community to regulate the broadcast media environment in postwar B&H. One of the greatest challenges for the international community in B&H was the elimination of hate language in the media. There was constant resistance from the local ethnocentric political parties in the establishment of the independent media regulatory body and implementation of new standards. -

As you know the European Parliament has been pushing for public CBCR in different occasions1with wide majorities, including recently in the report on the Shareholders' Rights Directive, in the report of2 the special committee on Tax Rulings and Other Measures3 Similar in Nature or Effect and in the legislative initiative report on corporate taxation . Of course, the media always play a key role in providing quality information to the general public, with the aim of better understanding all the benefits that these Chinese initiatives can bring to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, the media can have a great influence on decision makers by creating a positive environment and by accurate and objective information. Therefore, when it comes to media articles related to these topics, it is important to look at the situation objectively and professionally. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the media treatment of the Belt and Road Initiative and Platform "17+1" in Bosnia and Herzegovina, quantitative measuring of the total number of media releases dealing with these topics in the media with editorial board or visible editorial policy, and their qualitative analysis, as well as the analysis of additional, special relevant articles. -

The European Union’s relations with the African continent are facing distinct challenges, with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic making it all the more evident that the prevail- ing asymmetry is no longer REDEFINING acceptable as we move into the future. EUROPE-AFRICA This analysis takes a closer RELATIONS look at economic relations between the European Union Robert Kappel and Africa, which for some time now have been on a January 2021 downward trajectory, and addresses the impact of the global pandemic at the same time. Additionally, the paper outlines the current political cooperation between the two continents and evaluates the EU’s recent strategy pro- posal. Lastly, the key aspects of more comprehensive stra- tegic cooperation between Europe and Africa are iden tified. He was voted in as Governor by the Parliament of the Republic of Albania on 5 February 2015, upon the Decree of the9 President of the Republic of Albania. Mr Sejko graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana, in 1991, in industrial economics. He earned a Master’s degree in International Accounting and Financial Management (MAcc) from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, in 1997, with his thesis on the “Role of banks and privatisation of banks in economies in transition”. Mr Sejko started his banking career in 1992 as Head of Credit Division of the National Commercial Bank. Then he worked as an Inspector at the Supervision Department of the Bank of Albania, until 1998, while pursuing his post-university studies. During 1998-2000, Mr Sejko worked for Deloitte & Touche as senior auditor and consultant, responsible for the management of audit procedures. In the years 2001-2002, he worked for the American Bank of Albania as Head of Internal Audit and Compliance Division, and engaged in extending the branches network of the bank. During 2002-2004, Mr Sejko returned to the Bank of Albania’s Supervision Department as Head of Division for on-site examinations. In the period 2004-2010, he held a number of managing positions at Raiffeisen Bank such as Head of Division for the Internal Audit, Compliance and Relations with the Government, Director General of Raiffeisen Leasing, and Head of Corporate Banking. -
