Young, 37, who spent the last four seasons as an assistant at Georgia Tech, graduated from GSU in 1994. He played four seasons for the Eagles scoring over 1,500 points in his college career. Young is also the second all-time leader in assists at GSU, with 530 in his career. Youngbecomes the first African-American to be hired as a head coach for GSU men's basketball. Young replaces Jeff Price who resigned March 30 after ten years with the Eagles.
