Lab Experience Jan 2013- April 2014 Lab Technician at SN Gene Pvt ltd. and research center, Surat (India). My Job profile encompasses molecular diagnosis of infectious and genetic diseases and standardization in cytogenetic based and molecular biology based tests, in areas of hematology, pharmacogenetics, and Cancer Biology.

Jan 2012- April 2012 Master’s thesis titled ‘Molecular analysis of functional, phylogentic & Heavy metal resistant genes by culture dependent & culture-independent approach from Lonar lake’ at National Center for Cell Science (NCCS), (India). This assignment included isolation and molecular characterization of heavy metal (Hg) resistant bacteria form Lonar lake, India. The project allowed me to expertise in metagenomic analysis and molecular biology techniques like PCR (gradient, multiplex, RT-PCR, touch-down and touch up PCR), Cloning (TA cloning), PFGE, DGGE, sequencing and sequence analysis.

Technical Skills  Research expertise in metagenomics and molecular biology techniques including - o Molecular cloning and recombinant DNA techniques o Gene expression analysis using real-time qPCR and semi-quantitative Reverse Transcriptase PCR. o Automated DNA and RNA (Human and Viral) isolation on Qiagen Qiasymphony and Qiacube o Cell cycle analysis using Flowcytometry, Immunocytochemistry using Flourescent Microscope o Protein analysis by SDS-PAGE and HR-LCMS o Cytotoxicity studies on mammalian cells (including mesenchymal stem cells) using MTT, LDH, XTT, SRB and Colony counting methods o Apoptotic studies on human cancer cells using TUNEL assay, DNA fragmentation assay, caspase 3 colorimetric assay o Plant pharmacological analysis and purification of targeted compounds using column chromatography, HPTLC, HPLC, HR-LCMS  Well-versed hands on animal tissue-culture and have experience in maintaining cancer cell line likes MCF-7, U-937, Hela, A-549, ZR-75-1, NCL-H23, Mesenchymal stem cells (adipose-derived), Peripherical Blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs)  Reviewing and writing scientific documents.
