UNITED VISUAL ARTISTS COLLABORATION COVENT GARDEN

Soon after rounding off our first season with a sell-out concert at LSO St Luke’s, the LCO were engaged by Covent Garden London to launch its Christmas Lights festival, joining forces with United Visual Artists to stage an interactive audio-visual installation. The event sparked off widespread media coverage in The Daily Telegraph, Evening Standard, thelondonpaper and on ITV London Today.

Shortly after a successful debut appearance at Aldeburgh Music’s Faster Than Sound, players from the LCO joined Mercury Prize-nominated band Foals for a live BBC 6 Music session at Glastonbury. LCO then teamed up with headliners Belle and Sebastian at Latitude Festival performing to a crowd of 30,000.

FUTURE EVENTS

Future engagements include Frank Zappa’s The Yellow Shark at the Roundhouse, new works from Jonny Greenwood and Gabriel Prokofiev, and a UK tour with Belle and Sebastian performing at The Sage Gateshead and Symphony Hall, Birmingham.
