We are delighted to welcome back the Jazz and Blues Festival, which this year is bigger and better than ever as it expands across the region to incorporate Solihull as well as Birmingham. With homegrown artists joining acts from Canada, Czech Republic, France, Holland, Hungary, India, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Spain and the USA, the festival provides an international soundtrack to summer in Birmingham and Solihull. And, let’s face it, there’s something really special about live music. Now into its 32nd year, the festival continues to go from strength-to-strength, growing not just geographically, but also in terms of the wide range of exciting events and entertainment on offer – for example, in addition to an incredible 188 performances, dance events and workshops, there will also be meet-the-author book events, a photography event for people of ages and abilities, and an exhibition of paintings with an opportunity to meet the artists. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the festival organisers for their efforts in ensuring that this remains such an important and eagerly anticipated fixture in the calendar. The festival is something we look forward to each year – there really is something for everyone and we’re sure this year’s Birmingham and Solihull Jazz & Blues Festival will be another smash hit.
