Fajrin, yang juga salah satu pendiri Bukalapak, mengakui pada awal beroperasi jumlah pelapak atau pedagang dan pembeli yang menggunakan situs ini belum banyak. Namun seiring berjalannya waktu, tingkat kepercayaan pedagang dan pembeli terus meningkat, dan jumlah transaksi yang terjadi juga mengalami peningkatan. Saat ini, jumlah pengguna Bukalapak sudah menembus 1 juta orang. Tingginya minat dan kepercayaan pelaku usaha dan masyarakat untuk bertransaksi melalu Bukalapak, tak terlepas dari infrastruktur dan kebijakan yang dimiliki situs tersebut yang membuat kegiatan transaksi menjadi cepat dilakukan dan berjalan dengan aman. Agar kegiatan transaksi melalui teknologi informasi itu berjalan dengan cepat, Bukalapak menyediakan server yang cukup banyak. “Pada awalnya transaksi di Bukalapak hanya didukung satu server saja, namun sekarang kami sudah memiliki lebih dari 100 server,” ujar Fajrin yang lulus dari Insitut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) pada tahun 2010 dengan predikat Summa Cumlaude (IPK 4,0).
