Director of Residential Learning, University Housing & Dining, August 2015 – present Clemson University, Clemson, SC • Maintain and enhance former position responsibilities with the addition of oversight for staff recruitment, selection, training, and development of 230+ student staff through supervision of additional associate director and 2 additional graduate assistants. • Lead newly created department in facilitating and supporting student success through campus-wide partnerships and collaborations. • Build cohesion and consensus within department while working closely with Director of Residential Living to ensure a high level of collaboration between departments. • Assume additional budgetary responsibilities resulting in oversite of approximate 1-million-dollar budget. • Lead housing efforts for working with LGBTQ+ residents. • Serve on the senior leadership team for University Housing & Dining.

Associate Director for Academic Initiatives, University Housing & Dining, May 2009 – August 2015 Clemson University, Clemson, SC • Responsible for the overall coordination of initiatives that promote student learning and academic success within University Housing & Dining. • Create and coordinate the Faculty-in-Residence program fostering academic stimulation and student engagement in eight residential communities including the Calhoun Honors College Community in Core Campus, the Sophomore Year Experience in Stadium Suites, the First Year Experience in the Shoebox Community, the Fraternity and Sorority Community on the Greek Quad, Calhoun Courts, and Lightsey Bridge apartment communities. • Design and coordinate additional opportunities for faculty engagement with residents through the Faculty Director position in the Residents in Science and Engineering living-learning community, the Faculty Developer assisting with the creation of a gender inclusive residential community, the Faculty Friends initiative in first-year communities, and the Faculty Student Dining Initiative. • Supervise Assistant Director for Academic Initiatives and Graduate Assistant for Academic Initiatives. • Review and revise residential curricula ensuring congruence with and inclusion of Division of Student Affairs goals and learning outcomes. o Design opportunities to connect residential curriculum learning goals to staff training, residential operations and the Resident Assistant Leadership Course. (EBI) survey. o Provide appropriate staff and department partners with analysis of collected data to plan future programs and services. o Coordinate the Clemson University Housing Assessment Plan and manage WEAVE® online for the department. • Design and implement the Resident Assistant academic success initiative. o Coordinate and provide targeted academic policy and procedure training for Resident Assistants as individuals and for sharing with residents. o Develop and implement Resident Assistant academic success meetings for all Resident Assistants with a cumulative or semester GPA under 2.50. o Collaborate with staff supervisors to support Resident Assistants in need of additional resources for academic success.
