Magnificently decorated in hues of honey, raspberry and gold with doors opening up to a decking area overlooking the signature hole of The Smurfit Course, The Legacy Suite is a stunning location for a large and lavish wedding. 09 THE ARNOLD PALMER ROOM Located in The Palmer Clubhouse, The Arnold Palmer Room can seat up to 140 guests for dinner and dancing. The room has it’s own private entrance and bar. A special feature of this room is the large bay window which provides magnificent views overlooking the 18th green and lake of the Arnold Palmer Course and direct access to the spacious balcony. The Arnold Palmer Room can be transformed into a magnificent wedding venue for that special day. 11 THE JOHN JEFFERSON SMURFIT ROOM This ornately decorated room located in the main house has views overlooking the hotel’s gardens and River Liffey. The Yeats Room is the perfect setting either as a reception room or for a smaller, more intimate wedding dinner or event. 15 ACCOMMODATION The K Club offers guests the very best in luxurious accommodation, pampering, dining & leisure facilities. Already, the resort has been selected as the venue in 2011 of the Solheim Cup, when the best female golfers in Europe will compete against their opposite numbers from the US. It’s a biennial competition that is the female equivalent of the Ryder Cup. For the Killeen Castle project, it’s a huge vote of confidence, before the project is even finished.When this com- petition was held in Sweden in 2003, it attracted over 100,000 spectators, so when the Solheim Cup competition comes to Killeen Castle, it is likely to prove just as popular draw for visitors as the Ryder Cup was at the K Club in September, 2006. Karsten, with his family at his side, went on to pioneer custom fitting and bring new processes to the manufacturing of golf clubs, including investment casting and heat treating.
