Technology continues to play an increasingly important role in the evolution of healthcare. It is allowing individual citizens to become more active participants in their own health and well being, transitioning care from the clinic into the home and moving the continuum from treatment to prevention. Wearable computers have become part of the everyday fabric of society, giving patients access to continuous monitoring and providing individuals with the ability to intervene early in their own health status to help prevent disease onset. CYPSY23 will be providing all attendees with several publications this year. These publications are an important part of our continued mission to inform and educate the scientific community. This year’s publications include: 1) the Annual Review of CyberTherapy & Telemedicine (ARCTT), which contains selected full conference papers, indexed in PsycINFO. The peer-reviewed papers are an integral part of disseminating the rigorous scientific findings being presented at this year’s conference. 2) CyberTherapy & Rehabilitation Magazine (C&R), which includes abstracts from all of this year’s presentations. 3) Free 60-day access to the conference’s official MEDLINE-indexed journal, CyberPsychology, Behavior & Social Networking Journal (CYBER), published by Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. These well-established publications, together with the CYPSY conference series, iACToR member association and hosting of CE workshops by our American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited 501c3 non-profit, Interactive Media Institute, combine into one powerful communications platform to disseminate both the promise and the peril of advanced technologies, such as Virtual Reality and Social Networking, on individual and societal health and well being. I would like to take this opportunity to extend a special “thank you” to all those who have helped make CYPSY23 possible. First, merci beaucoup to this year’s Co-Organizers and Conference Co-Chairs, Professor Stéphane Bouchard and Geneviève Robillard. My first words are to acknowledge that the land on which we gather for the CYPSY23 Conference this week is the traditional unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishnaabeg People, also known as the Algonquins. As co-host of CYPSY23, I am pleased to extend a warm welcome to all attendants. The Université du Québec en Outaouais is a leading institution in the field of clinical applications of cyberpsychology tools and we are proud to host the conference. C’est au printemps 2019 que se tenait l’assemblée générale annuelle de la Fondation des parlementaires québécois – Cultures à partager. Cette rencontre a permis de faire le bilan du plan d’action des trois dernières années et de relancer notre action pour les années à venir. Plus de 2 millions de livres expédiés dans la Francophonie! Monique Richard Présidente, Fondation des parlementaires québécois - Au chapitre du bilan, nous pouvons dire Mission accomplie tant par les 445 000 Cultures à partager livres expédiés en Francophonie de 2015 à 2018, qu’à l’implantation de points de chute dans plusieurs bureaux de députés et chez des organismes désirant contribuer à notre mission. Pensons à certaines bibliothèques municipales, à SÉPHYR, à Québec-Loisirs, à l’AREQ du Suroît, etc. De plus, ce plan d’action nous a amené à assurer une plus grande visibilité de la Fondation et des trois Fondation internationale Cultures à partager. Notre présence aux salons du livre de Trois-Rivières, de Rimouski et de Saguenay a contribuée a mieux nous faire connaître auprès du public. Nous poursuivrons cette activité dans les années à venir. Je ne saurais passer sous silence le 20e anniversaire de la Fondation que nous avons célébré le 16 mai 2018 à l’Hôtel du parlement en compagnie d’un grand nombre de députés.     Canadian eview V olume 39, No. 2 Moving Forward Together: Indigenous People and Parliament p. 24 The Mace currently in use in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan was made in 1906 and used for the first time in March of that year at the opening of the First Session of the First Legislative Assembly. Purchased from Ryrie Bros. Ltd. of Toronto at a cost of $340.00, it is made of heavy gold-plated brass and is about four feet long. The head consists of a Royal Crown with the arches surmounted by a Maltese cross and bears the Royal Coat-of-Arms on the top indicating the Royal Authority. Each side is decorated with a sheaf of wheat, representing the province’s agricultural wealth, a beaver representing Canada and the monogram E.R. VII, representing the sovereign at the time, Edward VII. The shaft and base are ornamented with a shamrock, thistle and rose intertwined. A Latin inscription around the Royal Coat of Arms reads in English, “Edward the Seventh, by the Grace of God of British Isles and Lands beyond the sea which are under British rule, King, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India”. Les boursiers stagiaires ont été sélectionnés avec soin parmi de nombreux candidats en raison de leurs distinctions universitaires, leurs riches expériences de travail, leur implication sociale de même que leur potentiel pour la trépidante vie politique. Ils ont bien besoin de toutes ces aptitudes afin de rédiger un essai, travailler auprès de deux parlementaires, coordonner et réaliser des missions exploratoires au Canada et, cette année, au Liban.   • Workplace Harassment Policy in a Parliamentary Context
    Feature Workplace Harassment Policy in a Parliamentary Context Creating and implementing guidelines that directly affect working relationships in a context where there are many separate employers, like Quebec’s National Assembly, presents some unique challenges. In this article, the author outlines how a multi-party Working Group examined best practices for preventing and managing situations involving workplace harassment and adapted them to suit the parliamentary context. In-depth, methodical deliberations by the Working Group resulted in a consensus policy that was proactively communicated to stakeholders. Maryse Gaudreault, MNA 2016 CanLIIDocs 243 n November 2014, the President of the National Assembly, Jacques Chagnon, mandated me to Idraw up recommendations on how best to prevent and manage harassment in our organization. As a result, a Working Group, composed of nine elected officials,1 including both men and women from all parties represented in the House, developed a policy reflecting the political and administrative authorities’ will to ensure that the National Assembly constitute a healthy, harmonious, harassment-free work environment for Members of the National Assembly (MNAs), their staff and all of its administrative employees. While the Assembly had already adopted a harassment policy several years earlier, it was restricted to administrative staff. And, although Québec’s legal framework offers victims of harassment (employees and others) various recourses,2 no specific tools or mechanisms existed to prevent or manage situations involving harassment which MNAs and political staff might face in the course of their duties. When the Office of the National Assembly adopted its Policy on Preventing and Managing Situations Involving Harassment in the Workplace3 on June 4, 2015, for the first time in its history, our institution sent the clear, unequivocal message that no form of harassment is tolerated at the National Assembly, regardless of the perpetrator.
