Violinist Melissa Barrison, Cellist Peter Ko and Violinist Miren Edelstein will treat the community to a program of classical favorites. Join us for this special evening with these talented musicians! Doors to the Winn Room open at 6:15 p.m.

ABOUT THE MUSICIANS Melissa Barrison has studied classically for over 17 years and ventured out into various styles from classical, fiddle/bluegrass, jazz, rock, to gypsy, blues, raggae and more. She is currently a member of the San Diego City Ballet Orchestra and La Jolla Strings Ensemble. She has performed in numerous venues all throughout southern California such as the LA Staples Center, Anaheim Honda Center, San Diego House of Blues, 4th and B, Casbah among other venues and festivals. Melissa has appeared on Ellen Degeneres and the Marie Osmond show and played for artists such as Rihanna, Future of Forestry, Louis XIV, opened for Cee Lo Green, Pepper, POD and The Killers.

Peter Ko is a cellist based in San Diego. His musical projects and performances have taken him across the United States, into Mexico and Canada, and Europe. He enjoys music of all kinds, playing musical styles ranging from classical, to pop and rock. Peter is currently a DMA student at UCSD, studying under Charles Curtis. He earned is Masters of Music at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. Miren Edelstein is a classically trained violinist with 25 years of experience. She has an extensive background performing as a soloist and as a member of orchestras, chamber music groups, musical theatre productions, operas and rock bands. She was the concertmaster of the San Diego Youth Symphony during its 2006-2007 season and was invited back as an alumna to tour China with the group in the sum- mer of 2015. In 2013, she gave an invited musical performance at TEDxUCSD with pianist, Summer Swee-Singh, with whom she frequently collaborates and tours. Miren has performed live with a number of notable artists such as (of /), Louis XIV and The Nervous Wreckords and recently toured with the math rock band, CHON. Miren regularly has performed in a diverse array of notable venues including The House of Blues, The Teragram Ballroom (Los Angeles), The Glass House (Pomona), The Casbah, Garden Grove Amphitheatre, The Loft @ UCSD, The La Jolla Playhouse, Copley Symphony Hall and Carnegie Hall. Miren recently completed her PhD in experimental psychology at UC San Diego where she studied auditory perception.
