APUSH 2016/2017 Summer Assignment Mr. Lott

1. Email me as soon as you receive this summer assignment ([email protected]). Please introduce yourself, grade level, and your expectations of the class (what do you plan to learn, want to learn, and hope to achieve).

2. Complete the attached vocabulary. We will eventually add to them, but to start you need to complete the list at the bottom. They need to be handwritten on index cards. The term should go on one side and the definition on the other. We will visit and re-visit these terms throughout the semester/year to prepare for the APUSH exam in May but also to keep our memories refreshed. Avoid long sentences or superfluous information-you need facts and pertinent information only.

3. For each chapter, take an index card and make a summary of important information and facts that help you remember the material. You will keep these index cards with your vocabulary. We will also use these cards to share information. I will give each of you a brief test over the book the first week of class.

4. All of your materials are due the first day of school-no exceptions. I do not take work after due dates. If you will not be here on the first day of school, assignments can be turned in early into the office the week before school starts. If you have any questions, please email me. Have a great summer!
