Grant Wood’s self portrait Today we are going to learn about the American artist Grant Wood. Grant Wood was born in Anamosa, , on February 13, 1891 and died on February 12, 1942. Have a look at his art below.

This is one of the most famous pieces of art in the world. It is called “” . What do you think their jobs are? Did you guess a farmer? You are right! Grant Wood loved painting scenes from around his home in Iowa.Look at the other I have included in the lesson. What do you see? More farms? What are these paintings called? Did you guess landscapes?
