1:18 CMC Jaguar C-Type Review The year was 1935 when the Jaguar brand first leapt out of the factory gates. Founded in 1922 as the Swallow Sidecar Company by William Lyons and William Walmsley, both were motorcycle enthusiasts and the company manufactured motorcycle sidecars and automobile bodies. Walmsley was rather happy with the company’s modest success and saw little point in taking risks by expanding the firm. He chose to spend more and more time plus company money on making parts for his model railway instead. Lyons bought him out with a public stock offering and became the sole Managing Director in 1935. The company was then renamed to S.S. Cars Limited. After Walmsley had left, the first car to bear the Jaguar name was the SS Jaguar 2.5l Saloon released in September 1935. The 2.5l Saloon was one of the most distinctive and beautiful cars of the pre-war era, with its sleek, low-slung design. It needed a new name to reflect these qualities, one that summed up its feline grace and elegance with such a finely-tuned balance of power and agility. The big cat was chosen, and the SS Jaguar perfectly justified that analogy. SPECIAL EVENT : 2007 COPPERSTATE 1000 Seventeenth Annual Copperstate 1000 Road Rally THE GREAT AMERICAN CAR REVIVAL WORDS AND PHOTOGRAPHY BY HOWARD KOBY or 17 years the Men’s Art Council of the Phoenix Art Museum has been F giving vintage car enthusiasts the opportunity to exercise their machinery while enjoying some of the best scenery in the Southwest. On April 14, 2007, two car shows united at Tempe Diablo Stadium (home of spring training for the Los Angeles Angels baseball team). The Concorso Arizona, celebrating 60 years of Ferrari, was held in conjunction with the sendoff of the Copperstate 1000 Road Rally. Ferrari Club of America’s Concorso lined the field of the stadium with 120 exotic Italian vehicles. Concorso Arizona is the largest Ferrari gathering in Arizona and is the only IFC/PCA judged event in the state. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Maserati, and Alfa Romeo owners were invited from around the country to proudly display their treasures in a “Field of Dreams” setting. Some lesser-known names such as Allard, Kurtis and Frazier-Nash added to the wide-range of cars on display. While the key purpose for many of these car shows is raising money for worthy charities like the Ronald McDonald House and the Phoenix Art Museum, having a good time is also part of the package. (Paper 65). The issues are fully briefed and the court now rules pursuant to Local Rule 105.6, no hearing being deemed necessary. For the reasons that follow, Plaintiff’s motion will be granted in part and denied in part. Defendant’s motion will be granted. I. Background The facts viewed in the light most favorable to the Defendant, the non-moving party, are as follows. Plaintiff Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (“JLRNA”) is a limited liability company organized and existing under the laws of the State of Delaware with its principal place of business in New Jersey. To me it means I’m a member of the best car club anyone could be a member of. It means I get to meet people who share the same pas - sion I have for my favorite Italian car. It means I have made lasting friends and relationships. It means I get to see cars under normal circumstances I would never see. It means I have ample opportunity to drive my car on the track, with plenty of opportunities to go on scenic drives for the day –the weekend –and sometimes longer that that. It means I get to display my car in numerous concours, and have the opportunity to win trophies and awards. And It means about 25+ more items that I can add to the list. I bet you can even think of more than that. It’s so much more than just a car club, it’s an ability to participate in a life style that we all are so fortunate to have the means to do so. That’s what it is to me. Think about it, see what it means to you. We have a fantastic year of events coming up. By the time you are reading this, the Holiday Party, Kart racing, The Tech Inspection at South Bay Ferrari, The Nethercutt Collection, the Mullin Museum Run, and the Enzo Cruise In event would have passed. Up coming is The Ortega Run, the Willow Springs Driving School, the McDonald’s to McDonnell Douglas Run, and The Rancho Los Alamitos Run. -

Abstract: The Karl E. Ludvigsen papers 1905-2011 contain his extensive research files, photographs, and prints on a wide variety of automotive topics. The papers reflect the complexity and breadth of Ludvigsen’s work as an author, researcher, and consultant. Approximately 70,000 of his photographic negatives have been digitized and are available on the Revs Digital Library. Thousands of undigitized prints in several series are also available but the copyright of the prints is unclear for many of the images. Ludvigsen’s research files are divided into two series: Subjects and Marques, each focusing on technical aspects, and were clipped or copied from newspapers, trade publications, and manufacturer’s literature, but there are occasional blueprints and photographs. Some of the files include Ludvigsen’s consulting research and the records of his Ludvigsen Library. Scope and Content Note: The Karl E. Ludvigsen papers are organized into eight series. The series largely reflects Ludvigsen’s original filing structure for paper and photographic materials. Series 1. Subject Files [11 filing cabinets and 18 record center cartons] The Subject Files contain documents compiled by Ludvigsen on a wide variety of automotive topics, and are in general alphabetical order.
