In the course of our renovation project, our colleagues were well aware of the need to expand the range and scope of the museum’s artefacts, as their attractiveness hinges upon the success of the renovation. The artefacts must be significant enough to relate to the historical milestones of Hong Kong and also be appealing to the public to attract the visitors to see them in greater detail and learn about the fascinating stories behind the objects. The museum has consistently been developing the collection with generous donations from the public.
