SWIRE PACIFIC 2013 ANNUAL REPORT 17 18 OVERVIEW OF THE BUSINESS Property Investment Swire Properties’ property investment portfolio in Swire Properties is a Hong Kong comprises office and retail premises in prime locations, serviced apartments and other leading developer, owner luxury residential accommodation. At TaiKoo Hui in Guangzhou, Swire Properties owns a 97% interest in the Mandarin Oriental, which opened in January 2013. In the United Kingdom, Swire Properties wholly-owns four hotels, in Cheltenham, Bristol, Brighton and Exeter. In the United States, Swire Properties owns a 75% interest in the Mandarin Oriental in Miami.
