The Guibert family bought Mas de Daumas Gassac in t he 1970s and have turned it into one of the most famous vineyards in the Languedoc. Dark red in colour, it has complex notes of tart red fruit and black plum with a touch of leather. This wine is mouthfilling with powerful tannins and a ripe fruit finish. It has excellent acidity. A stunning wine from the producer of Mas de Daumas Gassac, the acclaimed ‘ Lafite of the Languedoc’.

Largely considered to be a part of Languedoc, which it was up until 1974, this ripe and fruity , technically from Southern Rhone, displays soft silky spices that then finish with lingering hints of liquorice. Vivid red fruit bouquet (cassis, blackberry & raspberry), with toasted notes and a touch of minerality. A convivial and uncomplicated wine that Michel Gassier created to be shared with friends.

The sister wine to the Pont de Gassac Rouge in t his case. A shiny pale gold colour that on the nose has intense aromas of oranges and white flowers. On the palate, you should get more fruit and 90 maybe a touch of honey. Its fleshy and full finish conveys the style of its three times higher priced older brother making this another unbelievable wine at this price. Description: Finesse & freshness are the key obj ect ives with this cuvée. Fragrances of pear and white peach that are generously mingled with grapefruit and tangerine. You will notice the pale yellow colour that is lively, fresh and aromatic on the palate – that has a long and subtle, yet fresh finish.

Food matches: Enjoy as an aperitif, with a bouillabaisse or even sushi if you are that way inclined!

Members Selection – Red 2010

This is the last batch of our own labelled Members Selection Wine from the famous Alain Brumont of the Madiran district. Over the past 2 years, the membership have enjoyed over 300 cases of this wine that uses the fabled Tannat grape, with a generous percentage of fruity Merlot to soften the blow! The resulting and highly successful wine displays a bright fleshy yet evenly balanced des Côtes de Gascogne. It is hard to imagine any other available house wine delivering as much class and complexity as this one from Brumont.

As mentioned, we will not be shipping this wine in again, so you can either enjoy it now – or put away (it will keep!) as it could well be a collector’s item one day!
