Kevin L. Haley, Sr., 41, of Saginaw, died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at St. Mary’s of Michigan after a brief ill- ness. He was born March 4, 1969 in Bad Axe, the son of Ivan and Joyce (Faber) Haley. Kevin served 2 years in the U.S. Army. He attended Delta College and Northwood University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree. Kevin was a licensed certified public accountant. He was of the Lutheran faith. Kevin is survived by 2 children: Kevin Jr. and Teressa, both of Akron; his mother, Joyce Canole of Saginaw; his father, Ivan Haley of Bad Axe; a brother, Brian Haley of Coleman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 29, at Cederberg- Brietzke Funeral Home, Saginaw, with Elder Ervin Haley officiating. Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery. TIFFANY MCGILLIE won first place during a weekend art show sponsored by the Cass City Arts Council at the Cass City VFW Hall. Her painting is made with acrylics on a stretched canvas and she was inspired to paint it while living in New York. McGillie saw a woman struck by a car and before she died, the lady had a peaceful look on her face. McGillie then went home to take a bath to relax and she fell asleep. She dreamt of her painting and when she awoke, she began work on the piece.
