• THE BROWN GENEALOGY Leyden, Mass., 1799; d., at Warrensburg, N. Y., Jan., 1859; m., at Warrensburg, 1831, Olive Lucas, b., at Warrensburg, Mar. 6, 1808; d., at Warrensburg, 1891; dau. of James Lucas, of Warrensburg, and Olive Johnson. He was a farmer and lumberman, a Republican in politics, and a deacon in the Free Will Baptist Church, of which his wife was also a member. George Brown lived in Crown Point, N. Y., till thirty years of age. At the age of fourteen he wa> an eye witness of the Battle of Lake Champlain, in which his father, Elisha Brown (59), took part. Charles M. Brown has been a farmer, also in the livery and mercantile business. He has filled the town offices of Assessor and Highway Commissioner.
