Abberton, Flyford Flavell, Grafton Flyford, Naunton Beauchamp, North Piddle The Flyfords Flyer The Flyfords Family of Churches News 27th June 2021 The Fourth Sunday After Trinity Dear Friends, This week's Gospel from Mark (Mark 5.21-43) is about two accounts of healing. The healing that God offers is one of freedom. Freedom from anxiety, from sin, from anything that stops you knowing the true love of God. A freedom that brings wholeness and peace. A freedom to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by faith alone, the ultimate healer who brings salvation. One thing that can prevent us from asking for healing and is ourselves. We may think of ourselves as unworthy or that we don’t need any healing as we’re quite alright as we thank you. Let me just say that you are worthy for you are a child of God, loved beyond all measure. Also, God knows you better than you know yourself so why would you deny yourself the riches He has to offer? When you next make your prayers, why not ask God for healing? What’s the worst that could happen?! Absolutely nothing! Come into His presence and receive His Blessings, grace and Healing but most of all, His abundant love. You remain in my prayers and I hope you continue to keep safe and well. Please continue to check this website for updates and news in the Flyfords. If you would like a call from me during the week, please let Caroline know on; 07514 901344 or email [email protected] or you can call me direct. "I think we've all got used to the year being different from expected, and my ordination as priest on 3rd July at Worcester Cathedral will be no exception. I am sorry to say that all of us being priested have only a few tickets for the service, so I will be unable to ask you to be there as I had hoped. My first celebration of Holy Communion as a priest will be on 4th July at St Nicholas Church Peopleton. Again, we are going to be limited to numbers but will have refreshments after the service in the churchyard. I would like to thank everyone for being so supportive of me during my first year as a curate. You have always made me very welcome and it is a pleasure to spend time with you. This last year or so has been a steep learning curve but so worth it. Thanks to Revd Gary for putting up with my questions! Also to Revd Emma for letting me lead services at Grafton Flyford.
