Directions From: Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson Airport To: Oglethorpe University’s Admissions Office via MARTA 1. When you exit the plane, follow signs to “Baggage Claim & Ground Transportation” 2. Find the MARTA station within the airport. Signage should direct you from the luggage claim. 3. Buy a MARTA pass. If the counters are closed, use the machines. Select “Buy a new card”. You will then be instructed to add trips/times. Select “Add trips”. From there you can select one trip. Each one-way trip on MARTA is $2.50, and to buy a new pass (a BREEZE card) for $1.00. 4. Get on a north-bound train on the GOLD LINE (DORAVILLE). a. Be careful not to take the NORTH SPRINGS Train, which is on the RED LINE. b. If you look at the map of the MARTA stations (below), the NORTH-EAST (NE) line is the one that you are looking for. 5. Enjoy the ride north! This should take just over 30 minutes. 6. Exit the train at the BROOKHAVEN/OGLETHORPE station. 7. There are two ways to get from the MARTA station to Oglethorpe University. a. Walk (less than a mile) from the station to the gates of the University. On a sunny day, this option is definitely the best! The walk takes about 15 minutes. b. Take the #25 Bus from the station to the PEACHTREE IND. BLVD/JOHNSONS FERRY bus stop. DO NOT leave the MARTA station to find the Bus Station. The bus stop is at the train station, and as long as you do not leave the station, transfers are free. Whether you take MARTA or walk, you will see the façade of the school (Hermance Stadium) really soon! Come through the main gates, and onto our beautiful campus. The Office of Admissions is in Lupton Hall (the one with the bell tower on top), and will be one of the first doors you see on the Academic Quad. See you soon! Atlanta’s MARTA Rail Map .

2019 ATLANTA SWING CLASSIC Taking MARTA from Airport to Crowne Plaza ATL Perimeter Ravinia Hotel (http://www.itsmarta.com/how-to-ride-marta.aspx) The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is Atlanta's state-of-the-art public transportation system. A single $2.50 fare covers one-way bus or train trips, including transfers. When you land at the ATL airport, just ask anyone for directions to MARTA. You'll land in one of the seven concourses (T, A, B, C, D, E and F). It’s easiest to take the airport's shuttle (called “the Plane Train”) to take you from whichever terminal you land in to the main terminal; follow the signs for Ground Transportation to MARTA which is near Baggage Claim on the western end of the main terminal. http://www.itsmarta.com/airport.aspx Once you find the station, just inside the doors are vending machines where you can use your credit card/cash to purchase either a reloadable “Breeze Card”, like a credit card, or a Ticket. Before you get on the train, you'll come to a gate/turnstile type of entrance. Have your breeze card/ticket in hand and tap the blue target with it; watch others if you’re not sure what to do. When you've reached your final destination or to transfer, you'll use your breeze card/ticket again to tap the blue target to exit the train system. Put your breeze card/ticket in your wallet so you know where it is when you return to the airport! If you arrive before 9 pm*, take the RED line (North Springs) all the way from the Airport to the Dunwoody Station.
