    Aggius Un luogo da scoprire A cura degli alunni della scuola secondaria di 1° grado dell’ISTITUTO COMPRENSIVO AGGIUS Anno scolastico 2006/2007 Premessa Tre anni fa c’è stata ad Aggius una festa perché al paese è stata riconosciuta la Bandiera Arancione dal Touring Club Italiano. Noi ragazzi della scuola media abbiamo cominciato a porci delle domande: - Perché questa festa? - Perché proprio Aggius? Così abbiamo fatto delle ricerche per approfondire le nostre conoscenze sul nostro paese riscoprendo antiche tradizioni, curiosità e bellezze del nostro paesaggio. Attraverso questo percorso, abbiamo appreso tantissime notizie che non sapevamo. Grazie a questo lavoro abbiamo scoperto le qualità del nostro paese. Con le nostre ricerche abbiamo realizzato questo libro con l’intenzione di far apprezzare di più Aggius, ai turisti e agli stessi aggesi, perché riteniamo che sia molto importante conoscere le proprie radici. Ringraziamo gli insegnanti che ci hanno aiutato dandoci indicazioni per realizzare al meglio questo progetto. 2 Aggius oggi Paese presepe sotto una catena di monti detta, a imitazione di quella lombarda di manzoniana memoria, il “Resegone”, circondato da boschi, orti a vigneti, Aggius ha uno dei più celebri panorami della Sardegna. Narra la leggenda che, al tempo delle faide più terribili, il diavolo si affacciasse al monte più incombente sul paese e facesse sordamente rimbombare il traballante masso di granito di “lu tamburu”, terrorizzando gli abitanti all’urlo di “Agghju meu, Agghju meu, candu sarà la dì chi ti z’agghju a pultà in buléu” che significa: “Aggius mio, quando verrà il giorno in cui ti porterò via in un turbine”.

    EU Sky Route Nuraghe Arrubiu star tourism DESCRIPTION AND GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS Location: Loc. Nuraghe Arrubiu, Municipality of Orroli (Cagliari province). (39°39’43,75’’ N, 9°17’51,48’’ E) Description: Nuraghe Arrubiu is one of the greatest examples of Sar- dinian Nuraghe, the typical building of the nuragic civi- lization during the Bronze Age (1800 – 1200 B.C.E.). The monument’s building period is extimated around 1500 B.C.E., the “crisis” period with destruction of its towers was around 1200 B.C.E. and for an entire millennium was abandoned until the Roman’s arrival, around 100 B.C.E. The size of Arribiu is really impressive: the main structure (village and huts excluded) fills 5000 m2 with a central tower rounded by an incredible total of 18 smaller ones, placing Nuraghe Arrubiu as the greatest nuraghe in the whole Island. Moreover, worth mentioning the fact that Sardinian Nuraghe censed at the moment are between seven thousand and ten thousand (and they were probably double in the past), making Sardinia the most intensely bronze – age settled territory in the whole world. The 35% of nuraghe (especially in the south of the island) have the main entrance at south east direction, quite perfectly aligned with the summer solstice. Quite a lot of independent studies have been carried out for demonstrate this fact but the scientific debate on the astronomic orientation of nuraghes is still open. Protection category: No protection categories are now effective. As typology of the monument we can just mention the fact that another great nuraghe (the Barumini’s one, 36 km westwards from Arrubiu) is under UNESCO’s protection list.

    Nuraghic village of Su Nuraxi ◼ Site location The archaeological site of Su Nuraxi is located in central-south Sardinia, on the border between Marmilla and Sarcidano. The complex stands visible from a distance for those coming from Cagliari, or from western Marmilla, on a small plain at 238 metres above sea level, located on the edge of the provincial road from Barumini - to the Turri exit for Oristano, about 1 km from the residential area of Barumini. ◼ History of excavations and studies Already known since 1834 thanks to a brief article written by Vittorio Angius in the his- torical-geographical dictionary by Goffredo Casalis: “It was larger than the others, and less destroyed seen from a distance of a quarter of an hour by the people on the road to Tuìli, distinguished by the general name of nuraji; it deserves consideration” . In 1862m the priest Giovanni Spano also named it, together with other three Nuraghe, using the name “Suraxi” . “There are few remains of other Nuragic buildings, or only the name at the foot of the coastline (of the basalt plateau) remains, like Bruncu su Nuraxi, close to the road from Tuili to Barumini”, wrote the archaeologist Antonio Taramelli in 1907. The first to notice the presence of archaeological structures in the rise of “Bruncu Su Nu- raxi” (the hill of the Nuraghe) were farm labourers working the land for Oreste Sanna, the owner of the estate.     Economic Survey of North Sardinia 2014 Economic Survey of North Sardinia 2014 PAGE 1 Economic Survey of North Sardinia 2014 Introduction Through the publication of the Economic Survey of North Sardinia, the Chamber of Commerce of Sassari aims to provide each year an updated and detailed study concerning social and economic aspects in the provinces of Sassari and Olbia-Tempio and, more generally, in Sardinia . This survey is addressed to all the entrepreneurs and institutions interested in the local economy and in the potential opportunities offered by national and foreign trade. Indeed, this analysis takes into account the essential aspects of the entrepreneurial activity (business dynamics, agriculture and agro-industry, foreign trade, credit, national accounts, manufacturing and services, etc…). Moreover, the analysis of the local economy, compared with regional and national trends, allows to reflect on the future prospects of the territory and to set up development projects. This 16th edition of the Survey is further enriched with comments and a glossary, intended to be a “guide” to the statistical information. In data-processing, sources from the Chamber Internal System – especially the Business Register – have been integrated with data provided by public institutions and trade associations. The Chamber of Commerce wishes to thank them all for their collaboration. In the last years, the Chamber of North Sardinia has been editing and spreading a version of the Survey in English, in order to reach all the main world trade operators. International operators willing to invest in this area are thus supported by this Chamber through this deep analysis of the local economy.

    MARIA GABRIELLA MALLICA CURRICULUM CULTURALE Anno 1981 - Unitamente ad altri soci ho fondato la cooperativa “Curatoria Bonorzuli”, i cui scopi sociali erano incentrati sulla ricerca, studio, sviluppo e diffusione della Storia della Sardegna, nei diversi periodi storici, in ambito archeologico, monumentale, archivistico, etnografico; Insieme al dott. Giovanni Battista Mallica, presidente della cooperativa, e ai soci della stessa cooperativa: - ho organizzato e realizzato la pulizia ed il restauro delle travature lignee del chiostro di S. Lucia, convento francescano in San Gavino Monreale; - ho organizzato e realizzato a San Gavino Monreale, un corso estivo di Storia della Sardegna, aperto agli studenti delle scuole Medie Inferiori e Superiori; - ho coordinato e insegnato Educazione Civica e Storia della Sardegna, in un corso per ceramisti finanziato dalla Regione Sarda tenutosi a San Gavino Monreale. Anno 1982 - Ho coadiuvato nella organizzazione e realizzazione, nei Comuni di Sardara, Pabillonis, Masullas, San Gavino Monreale, Gonnosfanadiga e Guspini, la Mostra Etnografica Itinerante “I nostri tesori”, che ricostruiva gli ambienti domestici e di lavoro della civiltà contadina in quei territori. La Mostra era preceduta da un accurato lavoro di ricerca e attività di “prestito” degli oggetti esposti; Negli stessi Comuni, la Mostra Itinerante era aperta e inaugurata da conferenze tenute da docenti universitari (proff. F. C. Casula, L. Orrù, G. Sorgia ) e da Responsabili delle Soprintendenze Archivistica, Archeologica e ai B. A.A.A.S. (G .Todde, R. Porrà, F. Barreca, V. Santoni, G. Ugas, A. Ingegno ).
