 RBI Imposes Rs 58.9 Cr Penalty On ICICI Bank The stock market regulator Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has allowed physical settlement of both stock options and stock futures. At present only cash settlement of derivatives is allowed. SEBI stated stock exchanges will also have the flexibility to offer a combination of cash settlement for stock options and physical settlement for stock or physical settlement for stock options and the cash settlement for stock futures.

Indian to Win Pritzker Prize The Bank of Canada, this year‟s Central Bank of the Year, emerged as a beacon of best practice for much of the community.

Architect Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi has become the first Indian to win the Pritzker  ICMR Wins 2017 Kochon Prize for TB Prize, the highest award in architecture. Research Doshi's most noted works include a low-cost housing project in Indore which accommodates 80,000 people. The award was announced by Tom Pritzker of the Chicago-based Hyatt Foundation.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) was awarded the International Kochon Prize 2017 for encouraging research and development (R&D) efforts towards tuberculosis treatment. ICMR received the $65,000 award from the Kochon Foundation, a non-profit organisation from Korea, for establishing the India TB Research

Consortium to accelerate R&D efforts in the Indian filmmaker 's country. "Halkaa", which had its world premiere at the 21st Festival International du Film Pour Enfants de  Jackie Shroff's 'Shunyata' Wins Montreal Film (FIFEM), has bagged the Grand International Award in US Prix de Montreal at the gala. The film is a take on a slum child's heroism, aspirations, and dreams.

 Canadian Mathematician Robert Langlands Wins Abel Prize

Actor Jackie Shroff's short film 'Shunyata' has won an award at Best of India Short Film Festival in Los Angeles, US. The 22- minute fiction film directed by Chintan Sarda was selected to be in top six from amongst thousands of Canadian mathematician Robert entries and was played at a theatre in Los Angeles. Langlands won the prestigious Abel Prize for An industry based jury then adjudged it the developing a programme connecting representation best film. The prize includes a cash prize of $1,000. theory to number theory. The programme has enlisted hundreds of the world‘s best  Indian Film 'Halkaa' Bags Award at mathematicians over the last 50 years. Now aged 81, Langlands will be awarded Montreal Fest the 6.0-million-kroner Abel Prize by Norway‘s King Harald in Oslo on May 22.
