NOMINEE BIOS Zone 1 - Barich Peter Lazowski Peter is recently retired from owning a thriving, local oil field service company for 25 years. He owns and operates a mixed farming operation. Peter was a past delegate of the Alberta Beef Producers for 2 terms as well as past President of the Boyle Hockey Association and the Elk Island Hockey League. Dennis Holowaychuk Dennis is a Journeyman Tradesman and has worked as an independent Safety Consultant in the oil and gas industry for the last 25+ years. During this time, he was involved with several large construction project planning teams. Over the years and continuing to this day, Dennis has been involved with and has held Executive positions in various community volunteer organizations. From 1983 to 1989 Dennis served 2 terms as a County Councilor and School Trustee. Zone 3 - Hilliard William (Bill) Zeleny Bill has farmed in the Mundare area with parents and family for over 50 years. Currently they operate a cattle and grain farm. Bill has served on many boards in the Mundare and Lamont areas, including Vegreville & District Coop, Blackfoot Grazing Reserve, and Mundare Agricultural Society. He was a past Cadet Officer with 341 Air Cadet Squadron as well as a past Officer with Canadian Arm Forces. Bill believes in the cooperative movement and REAs. Gordon Rosypal Gordon has been a resident of the Mundare area for over 30 years. He is a self-employed operator of his own oilfield service business. Gordon is a reliable player with effective interpersonal skills and will provide fair and equal representation of all members of Zone 3. John Homeniuk John has served as a Director for Hilliard REA for 30+ years. John has also served as a Director on the Lamco Gas Coop Board since their inception. John’s commitment to community and the outdoors is evident as he has been a member of the Fish and Game Associations of Fort Saskatchewan, Willingdon, Mundare and Vegreville. John’s hobbies include attending local rodeos, jamborees, outdoor cooking and baking, and fishing the frozen waters in search of pike, perch and walleye. Zone 4 - Lavoy Kendall Freed Kendall has been elected by acclamation to be the director for Zone 4. He has a grain farm south of Vegreville with his wife Cathy and their daughter Alyshia. Kendall attended the University of Alberta in the faculty of Agriculture, has his Power Engineering from S.A.I.T. as well as his pesticide and fertilizer applicator license from Olds College. Kendall has served on several boards. He has been a United Church Elder, an organizer with Vegreville Speedway, a member and committee chair of the Vegreville Agricultural Society and is a regional representative with the Alberta Wheat Commission. Kendall is President of C.K. Agri-Service Ltd., a company that has manufactured fertilizer and is involved with property management. .

Maps showing the area served by NPAs 403, 780 and the new overlay NPA 587 as well as lists of exchange areas in each area code in Alberta are attached to this letter. Prior to mandatory 10-digit local dialling, callers dialling local calls with 7 digits will hear a network announcement notifying them to dial local calls with 10-digits in the future, after which their calls will be completed.     It’s That Time of Year Again Volunteer Appreciation 2017 Common Questions and Answers Q: Who hosts Volunteer Appreciation and Why? A: There are two events each year held in Lamont County to pay tribute to all of our wonderful Volunteers within Lamont County. The date is chosen to coincide with National Volunteer Appreciation Week. These events are coordinated and hosted by Family & Community Support Services-Lamont County Region in partnership with the Town of Bruderheim, Town of Mundare, Volunteer Alberta and the Government of Canada. Q: Who can attend Volunteer Appreciation? A: Volunteer Appreciation Events are open to all individuals who volunteer within Lamont County and their immediate family members. Q: Do I have to belong to an organization to attend? A; No. FCSS recognizes there are many individuals who lend a helping hand to neighbors and work hard in their community to make it a better place. When registering for your ticket you will be asked to specify your volunteer involvement. If you do not belong to an organization then you may enter “In Community.” Q: How much are Ticket and where can I get them? A: Tickets are available at the Lamont County Administration Building, Town of Mundare, Village of Chipman and the Town of Bruderheim. Tickets are free of charge. Make sure you get your ticket early as space is limited and you will require a ticket for entry into the event. Q: I live in Lamont County, Which event should I attend?
