The School Community Bellevue High School is one of four comprehensive public high schools in the Seattle suburb of Bellevue, Washington. The school aggressively promotes academic excellence through an open enrollment philosophy of its Advanced Placement program and other accelerated classes. The The academic program provides a seven period day with a 30 minute tutorial session. Running Start: This Washington State program allows qualifying high school students to enroll in college classes that earn both high school and college credit. BHS students attend Bellevue and Seattle Central Community College. Tech Prep: Students enrolled in designated Tech Prep courses earn college credit. WaNIC: Consortium of schools offering career/vocational courses.

Grading and Ranking Letter grades are assigned on a 4.0 system. No “+” or “-“ grades are included on the transcript or in the GPA. All credited classes are included in computing the unweighted GPA. Bellevue High School does not rank. Approved credits earned elsewhere are noted with the “TR” code preceding the course name and/or in the “Schools Attended” section of the transcript. Credits earned elsewhere are reviewed in the context of Bellevue School District standards. Letters of Recommendation: Bellevue School District does not require to write letters of recommendation.
