MUSIC LESSONS IN SCHOOL Meryl Bennett of NZ Modern School of Music is offering music lessons at Waihi East School. PB4L As we continue along our PB4L journey you will notice our staff wearing blue lanyards with our school values. These house our fabulous class party reward tokens for 'caught shining' - kids doing the right thing at the right place at the right time. If you are visiting school and see kids standing out for being amazing - you can reward them with caught shining tokens too from a jar in the office. Remember, these values come from your whanau!

Community Concert MORNING DROP OFF TIMES A reminder that children should NOT be dropped of at school before 8.15am without prior agreement with your class teacher and definitely NO drop-offs before 8am without prior arrangement with the school management team.

Cool Kids Afternoon Cool Kids will be held next Friday in the middle block. Children are able to bring scooters, bikes, skateboards, skates and remote control cars to school for the day. Items can be left in the office until the middle block to be kept safe.

FREE EAR CLINIC SERIVICE FOR CHIL- DREN The caravan will be at; Waihi Central School, Moresby Avenue Tuesday July 3rd 2018. Monday 23rd July. Wednesday 26th September. 9.45am—2pm.

Visit the ear nurse for advice on Glue ear as- sessment and management, Wax/foreign body removal, Grommet checks and treat- ment of discharging ears. All children must be accompanied by a care- giver. For enquiries regarding this service please contact 07 838 3565. SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES Waihi Squash Club are running schools have-a-go days on Mon- day week one and two next term 3.30-5pm. Following the have-a-go we will run Monday night coaching from week 3 which will consist of mini games and lessons of the ba- sics of squash. BASKETBALL HOLIDAY PROGRAMME Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki with support from Te Puni Kokiri are able bring a Basketball Holiday Pro- gramme to an area near you in the Term 2 holidays. The programme will be run by Lawrence Were who has been involved with the Breakers Champion Basket- ball Programme and has run school basketball programmes in Thames South, Kerepehi, Central, Mil- ler Ave schools in 2017and holiday programmes April 2018. The holiday programme is for students who have an interest in basketball and are in Year 7 – Year 10. We have a two day programme being offered in Thames these holidays. Acting Out School of Drama Acting out school of drama is offering a school holiday programme promot- ing fun, confidence and imagination for 7 to 12 year olds . It is to be held at the Waihi College lower pavilion on Rata street Waihi. The day runs from 930 to 230 PM and LIMITED spaces are available for either JULY 12 OR JULY 19TH.
