It has no stars brighter than fourth magnitude, but does contain a number of galaxies of interest, including the Sculptor Group of galaxies — the closest grouping of galaxies to the Local Group of which the The Sculptor In The Sky Way is a member. It is also home to the Sculptor Dwarf Galaxy, a small and very diffuse galaxy which is in orbit around the Milky Way. It The Sculptor In The Sky a similar sky area to the full moon, and yet its total brightness is only tenth magnitude, meaning that the very darkest skies are needed to see it. Although some of the ideas that she's trying to convey are interesting food for thought, the writing is so tedious and repetitive that it just kills it! Reading it was really a chore, something I had to force myself to do because I was actually interested in some of her ideas. Basically, the main The Sculptor In The Sky of the book is that you are responsible for your life and body and should you want to change something start looking within yourself your beliefs, thoughts, actions. It makes sense. However, the Although some of the ideas that she's trying to convey are interesting food for thought, the writing is so tedious and repetitive that it just kills it! However, the writing is awful. It manages to go in cicles and be absolutely dreary - as if a non-native English speaker tried to write it but failed. Didn't she have an editor? Her Youtube videos are the same, but I supposed her book would be more professional. As a quick comparison - I'm now reading 'The biology of belief' which is full of medical and scientific terms and explanations and its writing is so much clearer. No need re- reading whole passages just to get the point. In a matter of a few hours I read this book and the words wrapped around my soul The Sculptor In The Sky a sherpa blanket. All matters of experience, no distance itself can limit an existence within the mind. Very journal-like. A book to read and read again and again. I started this book a couple of years back. I still haven't finished it but, I would The Sculptor In The Sky to say this book The Sculptor In The Sky packed full of awesome information. It definitely makes you analyze curtain aspects of your life. Some parts were a little bit redundant. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand life, themselves and others better. Jul 08, Priscilla Barnett rated it it was amazing. It's a book that will be read and re-read. My life has changed tremendously with the exercises. I've used it to enhance my daily journal writing. I will keep it as a huge resource. Anyone who experienced trauma that would be ALL of us of any sort, can benefit from this book. It's perfect for a book club or discussion group. Aug 27, Julio rated it really liked it. A Youtube personality, a mystic, a teacher, a psychic, a healer, and an writer, all facets that are somewhat irrelevant when you read her bio and discover that she was, against her will, part of a cult. After doing a little bit of research The Sculptor In The Sky Teal Swan, you will not only see that she is a survivor, but also that she has the courage to live her life with dignity and speak up. Thanks to her I now know that there are many cults that operate in the western states, with many leaders that impose their will on weak subjects. It is modern day slavery, in other words The book itself is a bit disjointed. It does share lots of information and analysis, but I feel it is a collection of essays? It is still worth exploring though, even if the dynamics are not there. Teal Swan writes about God, freewill, emotions, health, meditation, just a little bit about everything. It is definitively important to receive this information, and very good advice to follow her on Youtube. This is one of those books where the information is more important than the way in which it is delivered. Teal Swan is a female voice that needs to be heard and I hope she becomes a leader in the world of healing and spirituality. View 1 comment. Probably one of the best books I've ever read about The Sculptor In The Sky but goes even deeper than that. I don't agree with every explanation of reality in this book but I was surprised at how close it did reflect my own understanding. This book always gives instructions and steps you can take to raise your consciousness and also to learn to love yourself and discover a oneness between yourself and the universe. I can feel this book was written with great love and devotion and whether you are The Sculptor In The Sky super Probably one of the best books I've ever read about spirituality but goes even deeper than that. I can feel this book was written with The Sculptor In The Sky love and devotion and whether you are not super open minded to more "New age" type beliefs this book at the least gives you a guide to better understand yourself, why you make decisions you do, and allow you to understand what priorities in The Sculptor In The Sky life are important. I quite enjoy Teal Swan's perspective. I believe in her, I believe that she has the strength of personality and character to sit long, thinking agonizingly over the feelings which arise within her without dismissing their discomforts. I believe her when she speaks of the "Source consciousness" of extra dimensions-- what the mathematical scientific community refers to as, "anti-matter" or "Nth energy". I believe her when she The Sculptor In The Sky that wheresoever you place your thoughts, where you train you I quite enjoy Teal Swan's perspective. I believe her when she recommends that wheresoever you place your thoughts, where you train your thoughts to be, will necessarily give rise to these thoughts forefront within your person-matrix. I believe Teal Swan when she writes about the things which interest her enough to publish a book. I like Teal Swan. I like this book. Feb 17, Gundeep Singh rated it it was amazing. Went down a TS youtube rabbit hole, and her books are just as addictive. Her perspective is a philosophical and hyper-logical, without dismissing emotionality. The Sculptor In The Sky gems: - If you light a candle with another candle, is it the same flame? The answer is both yes and no. Are you life? You are not the same yet you are not different. The key is for The Sculptor In The Sky positive feeling to come from you vs an external reaction or judgment. Teal Scott doesn't write anything that I didn't already know in this book. The techniques and beliefs that she shares in this book have been part of my spiritual practice for many years and are quite ancient. It's because it's a subject that I'm well acquainted with, that I'm pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed reading The Sculptor in the Sky.

Grebel1,2 1University of Washington, Department of Astronomy, Box 351580, Seattle, WA 98195, USA 2Hubble Fellow Abstract. Star clusters are found in ∼40% of the Local Group galax- ies. Their properties are reviewed. The impact of galaxy environment on the evolution and survival of star clusters is discussed. Possible evi- dence for cluster formation triggered by galaxy interactions, gradients in cluster size, metallicity and stellar content with galactocentric radius and variations as a function of galaxy type are briefly summarized. 1. Introduction Star clusters in Local Group galaxies comprise a wide range of roughly coeval stellar agglomerates ranging from globular clusters to associations, from very metal-poor objects to clusters with solar and higher metallicity, and from ancient populations to embedded young clusters. Three basic types of such clusterings are observed: globular clusters, open clusters, and associations. 1.1. Globular Clusters Globular clusters are centrally concentrated, spherical systems with masses of 4.2 ∼< log M[M⊙] ∼< 6.6 and tidal radii ranging from ∼ 10 to ∼ 100 pc. They are bound, long-lived (∼>10 Gyr) objects whose lifetimes may extend to a Hubble arXiv:astro-ph/9912529v2 30 Dec 1999 time or beyond, though due to various efficient destruction mechanisms the presently observed globulars are likely just a lower limit of the initial number of globular clusters. Globular clusters have been observed in all known types of galaxies, but many of the less massive galaxies do not contain globular clusters.

Photometric surveys of galaxy clusters have revealed a large number of ultra compact dwarfs (UCDs) around predominantly massive elliptical galaxies. Their origin is still debated as some UCDs are considered to be the remnant nuclei of stripped dwarf galaxies while others seem to mark the high-mass end of the star cluster population.

Deep images obtained with the Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) aboard Hubble Space Telescope (HST) confirm the presence of ∼1300 globular clusters brighter than IF814W 27.3 mag in a field devoid of any large galaxies. The luminosities and colors of these objects are found to be similar to those of metal-poor globular clusters observed in many galaxies to date.

THE GLOBULAR CLUSTER POPULATIONS OF GIANT GALAXIES: MOSAIC IMAGING OF FIVE MODERATE-LUMINOSITY EARLY-TYPE GALAXIES Jonathan R. Hargis and Katherine L. Rhode Department of Astronomy, Indiana University, 727 East 3rd Street, Swain West 319, Bloomington, IN 47405, USA; [email protected], [email protected] Received 2012 August 31; accepted 2012 September 26; published 2012 November 2 ABSTRACT This paper presents results from wide-field imaging of the globular cluster (GC) systems of five intermediate- luminosity (MV ∼−21 to −22) early-type galaxies. The aim is to accurately quantify the global properties of the GC systems by measuring them out to large radii. We obtained BVR imaging of four lenticular galaxies (NGC 5866, NGC 4762, NGC 4754, NGC 3384) and one elliptical galaxy (NGC 5813) using the KPNO 4 m telescope and Mosaic imager and traced the GC population to projected galactocentric radii ranging from ∼20 kpc to 120 kpc.
